Now that the weather was warmer, the kids were no longer so restless (not that they could be too restless with Natsu around to play with) and were eager to go out and on adventures of their own, both with their older sis/bro/not parents and without. Regine was kept busy helping to tend the guild in their absence, though occasionally she got dragged off by the children for adventures, on days that Natsu and Lucy had work to do.

Although lately there'd been a lot of jobs, so Lucy, at least, hadn't had time to spend with the kids quite so much. Which was why she had suggested taking the kids to the beach for fun, sun, fishing, and whatever else they wanted to do. Good plan, yes? Yes! Nev'd been up since the crack of dawn, full of excitement, and vigor, like a tiny fire-less Natsu. Justyne, on the other hand, had slept in a little more. Lucy just had to put a few final touches on her appearance - since her hair had gotten much longer in the last few months. "Twenty jewels say that Neveren will be knocking on the door in five minutes." She called over to Natsu with a grin.

"You're just as incredible if you ask me." Natsu answered with a soft chuckle, marveling at his own good fortune to have met such an amazing girl. That being said his hunger was definitely sated for the moment. Unless Lucy did something to work him up again. If she didn,t he was more than content to just lay there with Lucy on top of him for the rest of the night. He could be a warm body pillow for her after all.

Noooooo, she'd more or less exhausted herself at the moment. All she wanted to do was cuddle against him. Her warm body pillow. She wouldn't call him that, though she giggled at the thought. "All my best qualities are because of you," she grinned. "Don't let that go to your head." Leaning up, she sneaked a quick kiss out of him before settling against him, holding him close, resting against his shoulder with a happy sigh.

Cuddling was more than welcome in his books. Natsu flashed her a dreamy smile before turning his body so as to hold Lucy better against his side. THe comment about it going to his head actually got a chuckle out of the dragon slayer.

"I don't know. I think I have the right this time~'

Good, because she wasn't letting him escape his fate of being cuddled against her. Such a terrible thing, we know, how will he ever survive such a fate? Her smile warmed at that absolutely dreamy smile of his, "Well, I guess I'll allow it this once." she teased, her free hand reaching up to stroke through his hair.

"Then I'll just have to earn that right again in the future." Natsu retorted, that competitive spirit of his slipping through once again though without actually making him want to start anything again. This was a perfect note to end the night on. Only one thing left.

He turned his lips towards her temple and then pulled her around so as to kiss Lucy again, another warm loving gesture from him to her. One that contained all of the love and happiness he could muster at that point.

She muffles a chuckle from her cozy spot tucked against him. "I bet you will, too." She grinned. She'd have to get him to tell her things later, since he had promised, but for now, she simply sighed, humming softly into that kiss and returning it gently. Yes, she would definitely agree with his assessment. It was the perfect note to end the night on.

After getting his fill, Natsu slowly pulled away from the kiss though the satisfied almost dreamy smile was permanently fixed to his face at that point. She was absolutely beautiful and radiant. More radiant than the sun or even his strongest flame.

"You can count on it~"

She nuzzled as close as she could, tucking herself against him with a purred sigh of pure happiness. Draping an arm over him in a loose hug, she hummed absently. "Don't forget, you promised to tell me your fantasy." One of them anyway. Though he didn't have to do it now.

"Oh don't worry. I remember. I'll tell you in the morning before we go down for breakfast~ Now sleepy silly. You've gotta be tired out as all hell"

BOY was she ever, and she chuckled softly, snuggling against him. "...guilty as charged." She murmured, not sounding guilty at all. "Sleep with me?" She wasn't sure if he was as worn out as she was, but she wasn't letting him go even if he didn't feel tired.

"Do you even have to ask? There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Now or ever." Natsu answered with a cheeky grin before stealing another kiss from Lucy's lips.

What a thief he was. She grinned, muffling a giggle as he stole another kiss. "Mph, how am I supposed to sleep if you keep doing that?" she teased. As if she minded, pah. She kissed his nose instead, nuzzling against his jaw with a longer, happy sigh.

"Good night, Natsu." Sometimes a mage had to force herself to stop the playtime, or they'd have been goofing off with teasing each other for hours. At least it didn't take her long to fall asleep, and the second her eyes closed, she relaxed against him, drifting off with a smile on her lips.

"Don't ask me~ But you should try~" Natsu answeered her teasing with his own before adjusting his arms around her form until she was nice and settled on top of him.

"Goodnight Lucy. I'll see you in the morning~" He said and watched her drift off into sleep before he too slipped under. THe last thing he saw was Lucy's smile and with that he knew his own sleep would be blissful.
