Few other people could make Rean feel like a mouse staring up at a cat wenever they showed so much as a smile in his direction. The mention of a talk makes Rean back a halfstep back just as Alisa tries to get in the way thinking he hasn't heard absolutely everything. You would think the color on his face would tell her that was pointless.
