Alisa would never forgive herself if she was the reason that Rean's spirit would be crushed. But fortunately that would never happen, because Alisa would never regret her time spent with Rean. If nothing else, his departures would only make her yearn for him more, and look forward to the next time she saw him, not to mention plan for things they could do together when he visited. Maybe she could work something out with Captain Claire. ...maybe she's hoping for too much...
