Since graduating from the Academy, life has been..interesting for Alisa, to say the least. She's been kept very busy, since she was upholding her promise to her mother on showing her the proper way to run the company, and it wasn't easy to put in those changes. Though it would have been a lot harder if she didn't have the support of those around her. But because of that, she hadn't been able to get time to get to visit Rean as much as she liked.

Translation: As much as she liked = every day. She did get to visit - or vice versa - at least on the weekend, and she talked to him almost every night thanks to the range on the ARCUS. Just as finished up for the night, she made her way up to the penthouse, glancing around to make sure she was alone (And you never know with Sharon) in order to take out her ARCUS once more and see if she could get a hold of Rean before bed. She was planning on seeing if he was in the area - alternatively, she was sure she could get away for a visit, if he wasn't busy.

Your average person might miss the way Claire busied herself with something else but Rean noticed and for a moment he was very thankful for her consideration. That of course did very little to sooth Alisa, whose trembling was being conveyed loud and clear thorugh the hold she had on his arm. The smile she showed him was a decent attempt and rather than point out the truth, he just let it slide while he slowly brought his hands up to hold Alisa's holding them both between each other as he stared back into those eyes with an apologetic and hopefully as ngenuine as he could muster, smile.

"Yeah so it is. We still have the Arcus at least."

He knows it's a poor replacement but it's all he has to offer to make up for the shitty situation he was in. Even so while Alisa's resolve finally buckled, Rean didn't hesitate to put his arms around her, pulling ALisa against his chest as smuch as he could manage while he spoke softly against her ear.

"I will come back to you. No matter what happens." He promised without any kind of jest or joke in tow. He looked out of hte corner of his eye and saw Clair hesitate to ruin the moment.

Rean closed his eyes as Alisa finally broke and his chest quickly started feelign the wetness from her tears. He knew this would happen. He Never really believed Alisa would be able to see him off with a smile. She was too gentle and loving to be able to give such a composed send off. So rather than blame her for it, Rean gently squeezed her even closer, his face tucking neatly against her neck while he just allowed her to vent.

Rean was somehow barely managing to keep it together. Hearing Alisa cry like this was sundering his heart in two and he really didn't want to make her any sadder by showing that to her as well. He caught that look from Sharon and slowly nodded before slowly pulling back only to bring his lips against Alisa's forehead.

"Alisa."

Thankfully sharon was there and back at her home, Rumu would be as well. With those two major elements he felt some comfort in leaving Alisa behind. But her words catch in his throat for a moment before he slowly nods his head.

"Of course. I will see you again. I wouldn't break that promise at least." Other he'd broken because circumstances dictated that he must with no regard for his own feelings or will.

"I'll look forward to that day. WIth everythin I am~"

That smile must have been so painful for Alisa to manage just for him. Rean felt horrible for not having something to give Alisa before parting. But then he already had her claim his heart so really what more could he give?

He came back down to reality as Claire stepped up. He appreciated the time she offered to himself and Alisa. Even if it did little to quell the aching in his heart. Rean turned away at last and finally took the steps towards the door to the ttrain compartment. He didn't rush his departure and just as he was about to go through the door, the train's whistle sounded out signaling it was about to leave the station.

"I'll be back Alisa. Look after yourself. And after Rumu of course." HE would have told Sharon to look after Alisa but then she would do that without being asked. Still he stood just beyond the door watching Alisa and Sharon until the doors finally slid shut between him and the station platform. He could feel his knees start to buckle.

He heard those words. He wanted to return them in kind with promises of how he would come back to her. But he also knew if he stopped again to say those word it would only hurt them both even more. So he grit teeth, hearing Sharon's whisper. His senses were too sharp for his own good and now was the worst possible time for it. It was never going to get any easier was it? He was trapped and there was no way out at this point. As long as he had Valimar. As long as he was of USE to that monster running the empire.

He wished he could turn around and wave her off with a smile but knowing what he would see, he chose to not turn around and only once the train pulled out of the station did his composure finally break.

"I love you too...my dear Alisa." he murmured to no one asss shis head rested heavily against the wall opposite of the door while his frame hook with the overflowing emotions raging inside of him that he had contained up to the very last moment.
