Well given the smile that she gave him for that thought, the approach was still successful. Any gesture of affection from him where she could feel him holding her was definitely a positive. "Hmm.. I think that would be good for a start." Surely he didn't think just ambush hugging her would be enough! Also hope he doesn't mind that his hair was going to be a mess from the amount she was toying with it, occasionally tangling her hand and gently untangling it again.
