midnightstar | A SURPRISE LENALEE APPROACHES; Command?

Despite all of everything the Black Order has been through, it was business as usual for the various teams. Lenalee and Allen were in one team with Miranda and a few Finders. Lucky them, their mission took them to the mountains - beautiful scenery, but cold weather. Fortunately they managed to find a small inn with vacancies, so they could stay indoors. Amazingly, Miranda was actually sleeping more peacefully than Lenalee at the moment.

Although after all of the scenarios and seeing all of the deaths in the war with the Earl and fighting the akuma, (...not to mention what she personally has been through), it really should come as no surprise that Lenalee's sleep was less than restful. While she managed to snatch an hour or two here and there of sleep, worries about her friends, her brother, and one exorcist in particular all contributed to making her nightmare particularly bloody and gruesome. When she jerked awake for the second time that night (or was it third, she wasn't sure), she knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep right away, so she silently slipped out of her room, padding down the hall. Maybe a glass of water would settle her nerves.

Well technically it wouldn't but for the immediate circumstance they would be. That being said Allen really didn't want to be interrupted right now. Not when he could bask in Lenalee's warmth and happiness so openly.

"It's a very good thing. Because you are my home, the one I will return to no matter what"

~~Better be her and not that damn johnny loser!~~

"Allen..." That was the sweetest thing he'd said to her today - and it obviously meant a lot to her. "You don't know how much it means to me to hear that..to know that." it meant everything to her. She smiled softly at him, "And I.. I will always believe in you."

"Well it's true. It always will be." Allen vowed and pulled her hand back to his lips again. Hearing her reply though made his heart beat that much quicker. Her faith in him meant the world to Allen. So he pulled his beloved Lenalee down so that her head would be on his chest.

"Listen."

She was caught by surprise when he pulled her down like that, but listen she did. To the rhythmic sound of his breathing and the quickened sound of his heartbeat. "It's like music.." she murmured softly after a moment.

The heartbeat, the breathing, all that culminated into how much he loved her - how alive he was. There was no greater music than that. Well, except when they were 'singing' at each other in the throes of intimacy that is.

"If it is music then you are its composer." Allen answered softly before his hand moved to lightly toy with a strand of her growing hair, using the tip to gently tease her cheek. "I would love it if this song would be the last thing you hear at night and the first thing you hear in the morning~" He then went on, his other hand slowly creeping up along Lenalee's back.

She watched him out of the corner of her eye as he played with her hair, and giggled at the feel of it being teased on her cheek. "Oh Allen.." She sighed wistfully. "I would love that.. it would be heavenly." She smiled, "And every morning you'd see me first thing, to greet you with a smile, or as we went to sleep. ... now that would be a perfect world."

That giggle was so charming and it made his heart beat a little quicker with joy. Any pit of happiness Lenalee felt made his own joy rise as well. He had subconsciously tied his life to Lenalee's that much.

"We will make that world come true. I don't doubt it for even a moment. Because I will have you by my side to help me do it~"

"Absolutely," She agreed, without any hesitation whatsoever, "You couldn't get rid of me if you tried," she teased, nuzzling against his chest, then shifting to crawl forward a little, "I'll always be with you."

"I look forward to it. To our future together. To walking on the same path together by your side." with that Allen gently tipped Lenalee's chin up to tenderly and softly lay a kiss to her warm lips.

"Tonight. I will make it a night to remember and then I will do the same for the next night. And the next and the one after that~"

'Our future'. Who knew such a simple phrase was capable of shedding such glowing light onto their path together. When she closed her eyes, she could imagine walking with Allen, hand in hand, and Komui's hand in her other hand. Living together, laughing together, dreaming together.

Her eyes opened again when he tilted her chin up, her breath caught at the sweetness of the kiss. The corners of her lips turned upwards as she returned it, just as tenderly, her cheeks flushed, "Every night I'm with you will be a night to remember," she said softly, "And I can only look forward to many more memorable ones."

It was a dream worth fighting for. Because getting the chance to grow older together with Lenalee, experiencing a normal life outside of strife and conflict. IT was simply heaven for both of them.

"Mhmmm Though if I am to resist the temptation until after dinner...I am afraid I might have to ask you to button up your shirt again. I...don't really trust myself to not lose control if I see you like that much longer." That had taken quite a bit of courage to outright admit. After all the last thing he wanted was Lenalee thinking he was just like his Master when it came to how easy to take things in THAT direction he was.

Lenalee giggled again, "Ah.. all right.. though I was getting really comfortable staying like this..." She started to straighten - then paused, "Oh, you'd better close your eyes again." she informed him, waiting until then to sit up and fix the buttons on her shirt. Once that was done, she stretched a little, climbed off of him and hesitated a moment. "Oh, before you open your eyes again.." She leaned over and stole a long kiss from him. "That should tide you over until after dinner right?" She took a few steps back.

"Trust me I am just as torn about having to ask you to do this." Allen chuckled before he obeyed and closed his eyes as she asked. Even as she moved though he kept talking.

"You can certainly do it again tonight though, Meet me looking like that. IT would set the mood right away~" Allen said providing his feedback before he went quiet to listen. only for Lenalee's lips to press to his own once again.

"Mmmm it might. Or it might make longing for you even harder to endure~"

Lenalee looked thoughtful for a moment, and then smiled, "Hmm... maybe.." Smoothing her hands down over her shirt, she sighed, almost regretting leaving to get dinner. "Ahaha, then dinner is going to be a trial," she joked, "Come on, we're already late aren't we?" She reached over to open the door, peeking out and - one good thing about being the sister of the Chief - her hall was absent of Komurins. Ah, well the booby traps were another matter, but she knew where they were and they could both avoid them.

Allen had actually received a diagram of the corridor from Timcampy. That diagram showed the precise location of each trap and trigger. Allen had a hunch the one who had fed his information literally to the little golem must have been Reever.

"Haha yeah Jerry is probably so excited to have us both together for dinner~" Naturally he remembered his conversations with the cook be they late night or not.

It was good that Reever and Jerry were on their side, for as long as Komui was being difficult about things. "Hehee, I'm looking forward to seeing Jerry too." she admitted - even though she would have been perfectly happy to stay in her room with Allen. "I wonder what he's going to make for dinner?"

The two of them needed all the allies they could get given what the two brand new minted lovers would need or want from now on. Especially when it came to Komui's antics. Still Reever and Jerry were among those they both knew they could trust with anything.

"I remember he mentioned he was planning on something surprising for you~" Allen chuckled mysteriously.

Truer words were never spoken. Lenalee looked curious in any event, studying Allen's face at that response. "Surprising for me?" Hrrm... "That Jerry... he didn't have to go out of his way for me like that.."

His face was completely the same no giving away anything at all. Well all she could pick out would be that he genuinely believed she would like the surprise.

"You know how he is. Besides he's missed you too you know?"

"Hehee, yeah, I know. I've missed him and everyone else here too." She shifted to nudge him playfully, "But you and Komui most of all." Even though they were about to cross into the public area of the hall, where where Komui had his Komurin's patrolling for troublemakers, perverts trying to sneak into Lenalee's room and Allen Walkers, she was tempted to reach over and take his hand. On the plus side, they weren't far from the mess hall now and it would be safe to do so there. Probably.

Well she wouldn't have to resist that temptation for long as Allen made that decision for her and reached out and took her hand into his own in plain sight.

"You honor me~" he retorted with a chuckle as he pulled up closer still, almost tempted to nuzzle against Lenalee's cheek but resisted it in the end.

"Not at all? I'm only saying the truth." Lenalee laughed. "Didn't you miss me?" Most of all, she almost adds, but she didn't want to put him on the spot. Instead she curled her fingers around his hand, swinging their hands lightly

"You know very well I missed you more than anything in this world." Allen retorted with a chuckle. Teasing each other once again in the hallway as they made their way over to the cafeteria, not really caring about a thing in the world, Komurin or envious people alike.

"I know," Lenalee grinned, "Call me selfish but... I just wanted to hear it again." Knowing how much he missed her. She wanted very much to move closer as they crossed the way to the mess hall, but that would be inviting trouble from the Komurin's - and there would be plenty of time for closeness later.

Pushing open the door, she smiled, waving a hand to familiar faces, though she looked a bit surprised when she saw her own brother there, of all people, "Komui? Reever actually got him to leave the office," she remarked in faint amusement. "Shall we go sit with him?"

... nevermind the fact that even if Allen said no, Komui would no doubt come and join them anyway. And he'd probably try to squeeze between them if that were the case.

"Then I will say it as many times as you wish~" Allen answered with a chuckle of his own before they finally entered the cafeteria. Right in time to...see Komui and Reever there?! Oh dear. This was risky to say the least. However they were already hiding plenty from Komui and avoiding him would only make the man convinced Allen was stealing Lenalee away from him.

"Yes I think that would be for the best." Allen nodded. "Do you want to go to the table first to say hello and let him know? I can even bring our food over if you'd prefer."
