Naturally she was barely out of breath by the time she got home just minutes later, but she did draw a number of odd stares when they saw her squealing and fleeing from the dragon who would have no trouble whatsoever hunting her down. She laughs, though she quiets down when she reached the guild since she didn't want to wake the children sleeping upstairs. Passing through the guild to take the short cut (for her) she continued through to their little cottage, trotting inside to set the food down and start unpacking. "Oh man, they really went all out with the spices this time." And because she knows Natsu can hear her from whereever he is, she added loudly, "It's such a shame I don't have anyone to share it with!" Actually she's pretty sure she'd turn to ash if she ate the really spicey one.

That remark quickly snapped him out of that momentary daze but its effects were already a given at this point. His eyes tracked her every motion before she was finally done and now. Well now she had such a proud look on her face after such a simple trick.

"You....You're going to get yours if you keep teasing the dragon like this."

But teasing the dragon was so much fun! Especially when she was actually able to rattle him. She nibbled on her piece of chicken innocently, though her amusement at his reactions was through the ROOF. "Teasing? I wouldn't -dream- of teasing you." She replied oh so innocently. "Here, let me get that for you," she plucked up a paper towel and leaned over to him to wipe a bit of chicken from his lips. "There, pretty as a picture. Anyway, I'm just being helpful. This is teasing." she leaned over again, this time to gently lick a corner of his mouth, and lean back again, her smugness growing to an impossible degree.

Oh really? Well too bad she didn't account for the fact that her teasing would bring her right within arm range of the dragon. So while he was a little surprised with her sudden move, his arm shot out and looped around Lucy's waist pulling her flush against him.

CRAP. She knew it was a risk to get in range of him, but she'd hoped he wouldn't recover quickly enough to retaliate. "Ack~!" She squeaked as he pulled her against his body, glancing up at him and having the decency to at LEAST look a little sheepish, "..t.too much?" she asked, stifling a giggle.

"Too much~?" He echoed her words back with a hum before he leaned in close as a dragon would with a thief trying to sneak a coin out of his hoard.

Eep. She was fighting the urge to burst into giggles, "A-a..ah, ...maybe?" Hrm, she let her hands reach up a little to rest on his sides. "I.. I'll make you a deal, O Mighty Dragon - you don't eat me up and I.. um.. I won't .." She paused, then grinned, "-tickle you mercilessly-."

Oh he had his eye on those hands which was why right after that he managed to get out his retort.

"Even though you like being eaten by this dragon~?" Would she still be able to trigger her tickle trap?

She felt herself blushing - a LOT - by that comment. Enough that she sputtered a giggle, pressing her face against his chest - or rather, his scarf, "Natsuuuuuuu!" AUGH did he have to embarrass her like that. Even if it was true, he was so shamelessly blatant!

Pulling back, she flashed him a challenging grin, "Greedy dragon, wanting chicken AND Lucy on the menu~." She teased, "Maybe I'll just make you go without so you don't get tubby! For now."

"Hah for that to happen I'd have to eat more than my fill of this cheeky princess. And that's nowhere near happening any time soon~" He was getting better and better at bantering and countering her teasing like this. Well he had an excellent teacher so that was only natural.

He was, and she loved it. She loved seeing him grow and mature as much as he did. Making a face at him, she laughed, shoving at his chest, "Let go already you beast," she teased affectionately. "And lend me your scarf so I can wash it. It smells like seawater." She sniffs at him. "Ugh - and so do you. Go take a shower." She grinned.

"Your nose must be sharper than mine if you get hung up on that detail. But fine. I'll go get cleaned up. Then you won't have any excuse to get away from me~" Natsu shrugged before he casually unwound the scarf from his neck and left it in Lucy's care.

"This from the person I used to have to pester to take a shower?" She scoffed, though she grinned as he removed The Scarf. "I'll catch up with you in a llittle bit." It shouldn't take long to wash the scarf, and he could dry it off himself.

That grin of hers. What was it that made him love seeing her make that cocky expression every time? Natsu never found an answer to that so in the end he just stopped trying to piece it together.

"Okay I'll be waiting for you~" he said leaving that suggestive parting hanging in the air for a moment.

She chuckled, padding off to wash the scarf nice and clean of salt water. It was so nice of him to take care not to get her wet too, on the way back. Still, as predicted, it didn't take long, and she padded her way back up to their bedroom very carefully, peeking in first to see if he was in the shower still.

He watched her go for a moment before turning around and heading to the shower. Shortly after she would be reassured to hear the sound of the water running and a faint humming following it as well. That continued even after she went to check in on him.

Eeexcellent. For a moment, she was tempted to sneak in to offer to wash his back but... that could come later. First, part of his surprise she'd been planning.

Lifting her voice just a little so he could hear her over the water, she called, "Your scarf is now nice and clean, but you'll have to come and dry it yourself when you're done in there o/~. Oh! I got you something by the way! I'll leave it on the bed for you."

Sure he could _THINK_ she only did half the job but there was a little mischief in her voice when she had given him notice. He'd hear her settle down on the bed after that, chuckling a little to herself. She -really- should have gotten a camera..because when he finally emerges from the bathroom all nice and salt-water free, he'll see Lucy waiting patiently for him, lying on the bed. With his scarf wrapped around her body. And very little else. o/~

She really really needed to get a camera.

Oh he heard everything. Part of him wondered if she wasn't aware he would even hear the creak of the bed under her body. Well no matter. If she wanted to play a trick on him, two could dance to that tune.

After a while the shower stopped and Natsu retrieved a towel and wrapped it around his waist before walking out of the bathroom and towards the bedroom while his hair was still dripping seductively across his head. Drying it in an instant was trivial. This was done for effect.

HEY. Countering her sexy pose with sexy pose was playing dirty! She stilled for a second, looking tempted to hop off the bed and jump him right where he was. Good god seeing him like that really jump started her heart. She let her gaze drink in the sight of him, a hand lifting to let her bite down on her thumb.

She was the luckiest girl in the world to have such a boyfriend. "A...all cleaned up?" She asked as casually as she could. Though her voice trembled slightly as she imagined running her hands over his body. Maybe she -should- have joined him in the shower after all.

It was like two fighters cross countering each other. She was struck off balance by his appearance while Natsu was the same the moment he laid eyes on Lucy on the bed wearing his scarf in such a tantalizingly provocative way!

"...Huh? Oh uh yeah yeah. All cleaned up...."

She couldn't take her eyes off of him either. The way his hair fell when it was wet - the water his skin glistened. She grinned, not unlike a predator that just spotted prey herself. "Come here and join me." She purred, moving over to make room for him.

The tantalizing way his scarf was hte only thing blocking him from seeing Lucy in her full naked splendor. And yet how that very fact made it impossible for him to want to even consider taking it off of her. The invitation on the other hand was a different matter entirely.

"Yeah. I think I will." Natsu nodded and walked up to the bed before pacing himself in bed with Lucy.

Well she was quite comfortable in it, so she'd be leaving it on a little bit longer. "Now aren't you glad I made you take a shower?" She certainly was. Not just because he didn't smell like salt water, but that wet look.. boy did that ever make her heart flutter. Oh let's be fair, seeing him in general made her heart skip a beat. Once he joined her in the bed though, she smiled, reaching out to encircle his waist with both of her arms, "Although maybe I should have come up sooner to join you." she teased.

That was more than okay with Natsu really. The way she looked with the scarf around her chest was simply too good to deny. So he didn't do anything of the sort.

"I knew you were up to something sneaky but didn't expect this~" Natsu chuckled before he felt her arms wrap around him. So she wanted him closer. THat was fine with him.

"Mmmm that would have been good too but then you wouldn't have had this surprise waiting for me~"

She hoped he didn't think this was -all- she had planned~! "Aww, I was hoping I was subtle." She mock-pouted, knowing full well she had been about as subtle as a bulldozer.

"That's true," she murmured, nuzzling under his ear with a chuckle. "And there is that other thing.." Shifting at his side she leaned over to nudge him so that he was lying down instead. Nice and cozy against the pillows, specifically fluffed for his comfort. Folding her arms to lean against his chest and watch him with a happy, adoring look in her eyes. "And I wouldn't be treated to how enticing you look when you come out of the shower."

Actually this was plenty but he certainly would not be disappointed if she had more in store. Which seemed to be the case when she rolled them over so that he was on his back while she was on top of him.

"Sounds like we both came out the winners in our little ideas then" Natsu pointed out before his hands settled on top of LUcy's hips pulling her body a little closer to his.
