Shionne and Alphen in Menancia

They've all come a long way since Calaglia, both in terms of distance and... other things. Things Shionne was forcing herself not to acknowledge. Because what would the point be to acknowledge those thoughts when she couldn't act on them - when at the end of this journey, she had no future? Ah... but that was something she hadn't - couldn't - tell the others, who she's begun thinking of as more than just 'tools'.

Particularly Alphen.

It was the hardest to think of him when she knew how much she was keeping from him. Much to her frustration, however, the group had decided to take a break for a little while since Shionne's pace had been pushing the others quite a lot - and they did just gain two new companions. Shionne was avoiding them as much as possible, deciding to go for a walk through the city almost...baffled by how accepting the Dahnans and Renans were.

It was ... nice. But it felt so alien to her, at the same time.

Not unless one of their friends decided to drop in for a surprise visit. AT least ONE of them lacked any ability to read the room so he would often show up at their door with a dumb grin to ask Alphen if he wanted to go out and spar for a bit. usually he would humor them but if they dared show up this time...he would likely just close the door in their face because of how much Shionne had stoked the flame of his own desires.

Feeling her hand gently rest against his cheek during this longest of kisses yet, ALphen felt what little tension and guard he still held up out of instinct, melt away completely as he pushed softly into her embrace all the more.

Shionne would be very upset with her friends and cold shoulder them -- for a little while. Some of the more intuitive of their friends would at least be able to read the room and slip away before the mood was completely killed. The moment now though, that gentle affection and desire between the two of them, she let her body rest fully against his as his guard melted away. Her free hand caressed the other side of his face, pressing slow, soft kisses against his lips before her own parted to invite more intimate kisses, murmuring his name in soft whispers. Who knew he would be so comfortable to lie on in such intimate moments like this? Better than a bed even~!

Helps when he's not inside that hard spiky in places armor he had sported for so long of their time together since the day they met. Though even what casual clothes he had on were getting looser the more absorbed they got in each other as Alphen's chest ended up almost completely bared as his buttons had gotten undone in the moments they had closed their eyes to linger into the kiss. Alphen hadn't realized it until he felt one of her hand press against his chest before they broke for air a again as this last kiss ahd made them both even more greedy.

"I swear I can never be fully satisfied with you no matter what we do. Because...I always find myself wanting more of you."

She nuzzled against his cheek, chuckling softly, ".. now you're stealing my words I see.." she teased. "At this rate, my words are yours, and your words are mine.." She leaned back a little, "Just like my heart," She placed her hand over her heart, "My body-" she slowly undid the fastening, "and-my soul." She finished with a sly smile, sliding the upper half of her dress aside, wanting more than anything to press herself against his strong body- it felt always wonderful when they hugged every day, but the intimacy of skin to skin contact -- nothing could compare. She reached for his left hand with her own left hand, her gaze drifting to their rings.

He didn't think she'd take things THAT far so quickly so he was stuck in awe at the lovely vision that sat atop of him before she lowered her lovely body over his. Alphen only snapped out of that stunning spell of her beauty when he felt her hand take hold of his in a way that brought their rings into clear sight next to each other. Then he saw that look in her eyes and his heart ached in the most wonderful way as he lightly tugged on her hand not to pull his out but to make her come back down to earth from the heavens so he could kiss her as lovingly as he so desperately desired to do.

She would have laughed if she knew his thoughts right then - but she wanted nothing more than to hold him close, even against her skin. Her smile warmed t hat much more seeing that awed gaze from him, her hand tightening on his even as he tugged her closer. She giggled softly, curling close to him and leaning into the kiss for as long as she could manage - but even with that, she exhaled softly, wrapping her other arm around him and nuzzling him softly, "Are you afraid I'm going to float away from you?" She teased. Heck, as high on cloud 9 she was with him, it might happen!

"What if I am? After all it seems heaven dropped its most priceless of treasures in my arms." Alphen managed to keep a straight face as he said something so sappy. Though to be fair it was easier than most might think because a bulk of that sappyness came from his own heart than any potential novels he might have picked up after things settled down with the restructuring of the world, leading up to his and Shionne's wedding.

It always caught her by surprise when he said something like that, so sincerely but it was also so ...sappy? She knew he couldn't have read much when he was a slave, especially with that mask but.. she couldn't help but feel her heart swell with pride, her fingers toying with his hair, "How do you say such things so easily..?"

"Because it can put the warmest of smiles on your lips. It makes the nerves and slight embarrassment all worth it in the end" Because her safety and happiness were paramount in his world. Besides he was alone with Shionne now. So the only one to hear him wax poetic so clumsily (only in his biased opinion really) was Shionne herself and while she might be amused he knew those words also were quite flattering to receive. So really he had no reason to not say such things right to her face. Sometimes it might even fluster her into speechlessness and she had to turn around to hide the blush on her face for a second before remembering all the things they had seen of each other since getting married.

Ah, flustering her into speechlessness... like right now. Just. Augh. Alphen. She felt her face getting flushed and her lips pulling into an embarrassed, giddy little grin. It was so embarrassing and silly and they've certainly seen each other in more embarrassing - or vulnerable - states, since being married, but... he was the only one who saw past any defenses she had even from the very beginning. "Alphen..." Words. Just. WORDS she had so many for him and none of them were nearly enough for this man who took her heart. She ducked her head slightly, chuckling, before leaning in to press a firm kiss against his lips, immediately tucking her head against his neck because augh, he might destroy her with those precious words one day. "How are you so ..." cheesy, marvelous, amazing, wonderful, "You're so..." precious, darling, beloved -"Indescribable..!" in a good way of course. But she's hugging him tightly, nuzzling into him because augh this man!

Honestly he loved that she had not gotten any kind of immunity to his earnest words even after all this time. Because seeing that cute grin on her face was enough to power him for the rest of the day so he always came up with small ways to make sure she had reasons to smile like that every day.

WHen she moved to kiss him, he leaned up to meet her as well before she hid against his chest because of that adorable shyness.

"Because I have all the reason I could ever need to be at my very best. Right here in my arms so I could never ever forget it." Alphen smirked softly before pulling her even closer, marveling in her loveliness. The softness of her skin, the warmth from her breath over his neck and chest as she hid while her heart hammered in her chest to the point that he could absolutely feel it.

"I love you Shionne. I love you and I will fall in love with you over and over again with every day I spend by your side."

Wait was that why he always had so much energy after making her blush over something? And why he was always so sweet and cute and augh she can't even look at him he was so wonderful. She could practically feel his amusement though, and wrapped her arms around him as much she could, shifting her position to snuggle warmly against him as he pulled her closer. And just hit her with those sweet words, that got a soft chuckle from her, "You're making up for me stealing your lines now aren't you?"

She let out a long sigh, "You really are wonderful, Alphen. I'm so incredibly lucky you stayed with me through everything." They got through the worst of their times, so they have only the good to look forward to now. But for now she was genuinely content to use him as her mattress, this close to hearing his heartbeat and the change in his breath, cuddling herself closer to him. Though she did raise a hand to put a finger over his lips, "And I am the luckier one. So there."

Shushing him like that was cheating but he decided to let Shionne have this victory for herself this time. Instead he lowered his hands a little more and lightly moved her against his lap as he kissed her hand more and more and more, keeping eye contact with her as if she was far too precious to look away from her beauty for even a second.

Just because she had sealed his words didn't mean he couldn't extol her beauty and loveliness with his actions. To say nothing of the very tell tale signs that his own body was sending out in this tender yet intimate moment between the two of them.

She counted it among her many victories of shushing him when he was in a loop of praising her. Though she couldn't stop him from expressing his love for her physically, and she wouldn't want to. Ever. She drew her hand away from his lips, instead bringing it up to caress his face and hair lightly, humming a pleased little noise to the tune of his own touches. And she could certainly tell the way his body was responding, that he wanted more in the same way she did, hence she cupped his cheeks with her hands, "Alphen..~/o"

"Yes Shionne~?" He answers back softly since she is truly being so absolutely radiant and every time she held his face so tenderly, he could not help but want to lean up to kiss her again and his eyes betrayed that desire quite a bit. Even so Alphen behaved for now, letting her do as she pleased with him for now.

He would do anything and everything for Shionne no matter how silly or 'naughty'.

She blushed - he saw her as radient, and she couldn't shake the sensation of the same from him. She could watch him for hours, her thumb gently brushing along his cheek, "..I wonder, as often as you can read my mind.. can you tell what I want most right now..?"

Pancakes.

Wait, no, that's later. No, right now, she wanted him more than anything. The softest smile in her expression and the way she leaned in close enough to touch, though not quite yet, was plenty of answer, right?

"Hmmmmm how many guesses would I get?" Alphen chuckled again but then shook his head as if dismissing his own silly question because he could easily tell from her smile and how he was so clearly reflected in her eyes.

"I would most certainly hope the first and only answer would be me, of course." He said smiling up at her before he moved his hand to toy with one of her bangs gently marveling at the softness of her hair even more.

She giggled along with him at the question, "As many as you would like .. but I'll be upset with you if it takes you too long to guess the correct answer." Fortunately he knew exactly what she was thinking, as she expected. She paused slightly, warmth in her smile as he started toying with her hair, but she gave him a soft nod in response, "Correct. ....maybe the question was too easy though." It's got the same answer every time after all!

"I don't think easy questions are a bad thing though~" Alphen smiled and lightly pressed his lips against hers again for a light peck as he just pondered how to show his adoration for Shionne next since he had so so sooo many options to choose from.

She muffled a soft giggle against his lips with that light peck, "I don't want to make things TOO easy for you too often though. Don't you like a challenge?" Ha! Now he knew how she felt because she often found herself wondering what ways she could show her love for him. Making his favorite food, spending time cuddled with him on the couch, training with him, spending nights with him - they pretty much had it covered, right?

Hearing that giggle made him want to kiss her playfully like that again. Anything that made her happy he wanted to do. All the innocent things and the uhm...not quite so innocent things. As for how she could show her love, oh he would be on board wiht every single one of those options as many times as she wanted. Repeating them was not an issue in the slightest. Especially not the cuddling or spending nights or being intimate.

"Sometimes. Making everything a challenge would get tiring though I suppose coming from you would be the only exception to that."

Good thing she quite enjoyed the cuddling and intimacy then. "Well that is true, although now and then a challenge could be fun. Like, you have to run ten laps around the house with me on your back, or you have to do a hundred push ups with me sitting on your back -" She paused. A lot of those challenges benefited her as much as him though, but what would her own challenge be? "Or seeing how long I can kiss you without having to take a breath." She teased, leaning a little closer, "Do any of those challenges sound appealing?"

"Oh? I mean I am not against either of those challenges if you want to." Alphen chuckled before he puleld up closer since she described such wonderful things. That said he also could not help the way his hands were going more rogue as they rested on her body while also lingering on every single word she spoke.

"All of them sound appealing so much so it's hard to pick which one to start~" He said his lips almost brushing against hers because of how close they were getting.

She could feel the way his hands were wandering more and more, her skin tingling with each trace of his fingers - with them so close, it was almost taunting her to steal a kiss - which did make her think of her 'challenge' even more. How long COULD she kiss him before she would be forced to pull away for air? Ah, if only she didn't even need to breathe. "Well lucky for us we have our entire lives ahead of ourselves to choose - should I pick first?" She teased, her own hands absently tracing lines and circles alternately along his back.

Well he can't help himself so it's probably a good thing she enjoys his touch so much. After all he is always marveling at how wonderful it is to just get to feel her without the pain that had brought them together in the first place.

"I think that would be for the best~ After all I can't quite make up my mind when I want everything~" He chuckled softly before leaning to steal another slow but brief kiss from her lips.
