Now that the weather was warmer, the kids were no longer so restless (not that they could be too restless with Natsu around to play with) and were eager to go out and on adventures of their own, both with their older sis/bro/not parents and without. Regine was kept busy helping to tend the guild in their absence, though occasionally she got dragged off by the children for adventures, on days that Natsu and Lucy had work to do.

Although lately there'd been a lot of jobs, so Lucy, at least, hadn't had time to spend with the kids quite so much. Which was why she had suggested taking the kids to the beach for fun, sun, fishing, and whatever else they wanted to do. Good plan, yes? Yes! Nev'd been up since the crack of dawn, full of excitement, and vigor, like a tiny fire-less Natsu. Justyne, on the other hand, had slept in a little more. Lucy just had to put a few final touches on her appearance - since her hair had gotten much longer in the last few months. "Twenty jewels say that Neveren will be knocking on the door in five minutes." She called over to Natsu with a grin.

Burn together. How could a simple unrealistic phrase like that actually have such an effect on his mind and body? Natsu didn't have an answer though he didn't try very hard to get one anyway.

However what really finished him off was that sudden vice like grip on his length and the lock of her arms around his body. No he would be lying if that was all of it. Her keen cry during her climax was also a big part of it. But it was thanks to a combination of all of hte above that Natsu finally peaked as well, his sole thoughts at that point being pointed firmly at Lucy, at his smouldering lover who had just shown him pleasure unlike anything else he'd seen so far from her.

She almost didn't want to move after their performance, taking several minutes for her heavy panting to come under control, feeling like she'd just run a marathon. She wanted to give him the kind of pleasure he brought her, and judging from his responses, she would consider that mission successful. She couldn't help but feel giddy when they came together - but after she came down from that high she had to wonder how the heck she was going to outdo herself next time.

Finally heaving a very satisfied sigh, she managed to pull her head up from his shoulder, loosening a hand from it's vice grip to push damp hair out of her face, grinning shakily. "My dragon..." she cooed softly, pressing her soft lips against his to ease him down from his own high, nuzzling against him, "You know, you can be very addicting." she teased quietly. How could he make her want him just from looking at her, she'd never know. "Although," she nuzzled his neck, "... I may have gotten ... a little more wild and out of control than I'd planned."

Wait, 'May have?' What if Natsu had lost control? No, to be fair a better question would be what if she egged HIM into losing control. It was definitely something she had in the back of her head. Nevermind if she ever pounced him like she playfully teased him about not too long ago.

Natsu had no doubt she would find a way. Then again a repeat of this tryst would certainly not go amiss either. Right now however Natsu wanted to catch his breath, his heart pounding strongly and loudly in his chest from the bliss he'd just tasted.

"You think so? I thought it was the first time you were totally honest with how you liked it~" And there came the shameless grinning down at her.

She grinned, shifting carefully in order to roll him onto his side so she could lie next to him. She could just as easily have climbed off of him, but she didn't want to lose that intimate connection she had with him, her leg staying curved over his hip.

"Hrmmm... maybe.." She answered sheepishly. Though she reached up with a giggle, putting her hand against his face, "Stop that, you know how buttery I get when you smile at me from this close." Though she pressed closer to him anyway, her, still feeling a little lightheaded. "Hmmhmm. I still feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world, having you as my partner." In all senses of the word.

He helped with that, eager to hold her close by his side now that they'd spent all of that pent up passion of the moment. She always shone in his eyes after the peak. A more radiant glow than even the sun as far as Natsu was concerned. Which in turn made the smile on his face a permanent fixture.

"Can't help it." He answered with a chuckle before turning his mouth to press his lips to Lucy's hand.

"Oh really? And here I was thinking the same about you~"

She snuggled closer against him, more than happy to have his warm arms holding her against him. Just knowing how happy he was and seeing that permanent smile made her smile beam brighter. At the kiss to her hand, she giggled softly, letting it slide into his hair, giving him her most adoring smile yet. "Really? You were thinking I was the luckiest girl in the world too?" She teased, nuzzling into a more comfortable position, chuckling. "How egotistical."

"You know exactly what I meant, missy." He said with a mock huff before lightly teasing her hand with his teeth. "But even if that weren't the case it wouldn't be any less true. Besides dragons are supposed to be proud of themselves. And after seeing how wild you were just now I am VERY proud of myself~"

Lucy giggled at his mock huff, her hand twitching with a little squeak from the mage at that teasing feel of his teeth, "Natsu..." Silly dragon.

A silly silly dragon that made her blush at how wild she was, "Well, it's your fault for being such an addicting, tempting factor my handsome dragonslayer."

TOO tempting she might even add. "As much as I worry about your ego sometimes... well, I think you -should- be proud of yourself in this instance. I don't think I'm going to be able to keep myself under control next time." They certainly do like using loopholes don't they? She paused to revaluate her statement. "Or ever again." Not if he kept being the way he was.

Her silly dragon no less. She would probably feel him smile against her smooth neck reveling in her scent and warmth like no other. When he finally got enough, Natsu pulled away only to smirk cockily back at Lucy.

"Mmmmm with a promise like that I can't wait for the next time~" Again he hadn't mentioned when said next time would be though he did draw suspiciously closer to her body with his own.

Forever hers. Just as she was his forever. She grinned at the feel of his smile, mentally shaking her head at the times when she thought the way he would breathe in her smell for comfort was weird at first, and then terribly embarrassing - especially before she confessed to him, when his closeness would make her heart race.

"Hmm, you can't? When did you get so impatient," she teased. Knowing them their 'next time' would normally be the following evening - or in the morning, considering the challenge Natsu put to her earlier. Craving him all night would certainly give her motivation to win the challenge at least. Though he might have something else in mind considering he was drawing closer to her.

"If that's the case we should probably give up on the idea of planning and just be spontaneous." It seemed their entire relationship was based on spontaneity, just doing things when the whim struck. Although to be fair the only one who was 'planning' anything was Lucy.

"When I realized that I had the most amazing girl in the world as my girl~" Natsu answered shamelessly before turning his lips to Lucy's forehead feeling that that kind of rare gesure was much more suited for the moment. That being said when she mentioned being spontaneous, Natsu burst into small laughter.

"And just how spontaneous are you willing to be~?"

Lucy threw him a bright smile at that answer, thoroughly touched by that gesture. "Good answer." She grinned, leaning over to nuzzle her lips against his briefly with a soft, quick kiss. Leaning back again, her smile warmed at the laughter, while she considered the question. "Nnn, I don't know, I'd have to think about it." Wait.

"Ah...though that would beat the purpose of it being spontaneous wouldn't it?" She chuckled. Maybe she'd just spring it on him one day. Curiosity made her ask after a moment, "What about you?" Although he might withhold his response since she wouldn't tell him hers. Tsk tsk.

"Me? Welll that's a secret for now. You'll know eventually though~" Natsu promised with a cheeky smirk as he felt Lucy hold him tighter still. He could say in those arms from dusk to dawn. Natsu chuckled softly and nuzzled against Lucy's chin loving the moment he had now with Lucy all to himself.

Lucy bit her tongue to keep from saying, 'we'll see who surprises who first!'. She was not about to start another competition with him, though the realization that occurred to her made her giggle. That and his cheeky response, purring softly at his nuzzles. If he'd voiced that sentiment, she would wholeheartedly agree, even if it wasn't practical. Although a vacation with just him - Fayren was a little limited in its resort hotels, but she'd bet there were plenty in Nova City or even Genessia.

And... they had plenty of money right now, so a week or two wouldn't put even a dent in those savings. She'd have to bring it up to him later, when his nuzzling wasn't making it difficult for her to concentrate on that line of thought. Sighing softly, she leaned into him to nuzzle back affectionately.

That was probably for the best given how her last challenge ended for both of them. Then again Natsu was certainly not complaining about it. He let his hands play across Lucy's back while nuzzling turned to soft gentle kisses just using his lips for that added sweetness of the gesture. After all he wasn't trying to get her worked up again but just aiming to express that overflowing affection he had for the star queen.

It was debatable if that simple expression of affection would stay so simple the way they tended to be. Not that Lucy was complaining about that either. She hummed softly into his kisses, feeling like each kiss made her feel lighter.

Whether or not he was getting her worked up, or vice versa, she loved his kisses, and any gesture of affection from him, more than happy to trade sweet kisses with her precious dragon, occasionally brushing her hand through his hair, love in her gaze and her smile.

Making her feel lighter? No can do. AT least that was one argument to explain why he closed his arms around Lucy completely to keep her to his chest while his lips carefully molded and moved against Lucy's until a low rumbling purr was drawn out of Natsu.

As if he needed a reason to hold her close. But she loved it all the same, feeling his arms around her. And that purr, that noise she'd always loved to hear. She sealed her lips against his, closing her arms around him tightly in a embrace, lips curving into a grin. When she managed to break for air, she nuzzled against his face, murmuring in a soft, amused voice, "I'm not going anywhere, you know."

He really didn't. Which was why he did it so often after all. He didn't feel any less of a lucky man even as she grinned against his lips, reveling in her warmth and taste. He nipped at her lips when she pulled away getting in the way of her speaking until she finally managed to avoid him long enough.

"Doesn't matter. I'm not letting you go any time soon, my queen~"

Lucy couldn't help but chuckle whenever he tried to keep her from speaking. He seemed to like doing that - she didn't mind it at all of course. Trying to dodge his sneak attacks when she wanted to say something was a challenge, though at times it was one she gave up on since she could talk any other time. "Hmmm, that works for me," she murmured, leaning in to resume the soft little kisses, slipping in a word here or there. "I never want you to let me go. If I could live in your embrace like this I would." She purred happily. Nope, never ever wanted to be out of his arms again.

"Does it really hmm~?" Natsu answered her with a cheeky smirk curving over his features as he immersed himself completely into everything Lucy was. Her scent her warmth. Everything soothed and calmed him more than anything else.

"Hahaha no you'll make me want that even more. Such a smart spell you put over me~"

"You know it does," Lucy grinned, her hand petting through his hair lightly. He could immerse himself in her scent, she wrapped herself in the the feel of his arms around her and the sight of his smiling face - the way he sounded when he was absolutely happy and content.

"Mhmhm, well I can't be the only one to want you that much," she giggled. "Well, I've always said that the one magic is Love." She nuzzled against his neck, grinning.

"Even though I only want you to want me~?" He intentionally catered his response on hearing the wrong sense of her words. A little mischievous play while he chuckled and let himself sink into utter bliss with her.

"Hmmm love huh? That would make you the strongest mage there is. Since there's no one whose love is greater than yours~"

Lucy grinned at his mischievousness, "That shouldn't be a problem. After all, I do want you, and only you," she curled her arms around him tightly, "Or do I need to say that you're mine often, my king?"

Grinning, she nodded at mention of how she was the strongest mage. "Especially when it comes to my love for you." she agreed, playfully pressing a kiss against his chin and a corner of his mouth - suddenly stopping and giving him a funny look. "Are you going to be okay with that? I know how you get. You're not going to demand to fight me are you?" That grin on her face said 'I'll win every time'.

"Mmmm maybe every now and again at least~" See the dragon was willing to compromise with the queen. Not too much though after all he had to get his quota one way or another.

A low growl that grew into a groan rumbled from Natsu's chest as he felt those sweet soft lips roam over his chin and mouth. "Well lets just say I wouldn't lower my guard just because I said that to you~" He said flashing her an equally mutinous grin.
