Spending day after day in the cabin Natsu had built near the Guild, going on missions and living, being WITH Natsu was plain and simple, pure. Heaven. Lucy could genuinely not think of any time she was as happy as she was with him. It still amused her to think of the times she was too flustered to acknowledge her feelings for him, until things came to a head.

And then the kids came along during that mission - Nev and Justine, along with their 'mom' Regine. If Natsu becoming an integral part of Lucy's life was like completing her, then the kids and Regine were the added frosting on a perfected cake. Yeah that metaphor was all over the place. GRANTED it was a little difficult to get time alone with Nev and Justine almost demanding their attention a good amount of the time, but she didn't mind, and didn't think Natsu did either. They had their evenings together, and their little hiding spots to sneak away to, sometimes just for fun.

Meanwhile the first rays of light were beginning to filter in through the window-shades of their room, with Lucy snuggled up against Natsu's side, an arm wrapped around him with a faint smile on her lips. Not quite awake yet, but in that in-between point of just about to rouse. The birds had barely even begun to chirp when the distant BAM! of a door swinging open, followed by barely hushed giggling voices and scampering feet could be heard by Dragonslayer senses with ease, obviously heading towards said cabin.

"Definitely not. Gotta keep, my disciple happy after all~" And Lucy would take care of her protege's happiness as well so that went without saying. Still that was an easy task really since all he had to do was be happy together with Lucy no matter what. Everything else would just follow.

"Not too happy though," Lucy chuckled, "Regine won't have anything to do." She traced her fingers over his jaws and up into his hair, idly combing her fingers through that fluffy mess.

"Oh that's never going to happen. Those two have more than enough energy to give her a good workout too even after they're done with us~" Natsu was not worried in the slightest because of that since he knew all too well how lively the two kids could get. Much like how he was at their age.

"Mmh, that's true, I suppose." She closed her eyes and relaxed against him with a sigh, practically absorbing the sensation of his warmth and the sound of his breathing, rhythmic, and synchronized with her own. Or maybe her breathing synchronized with his - she wasn't sure which.

She fell silent, listening to his breathing, gently petting her fingers through his hair before she spoke up again, "Still raining.."

Did it really matter who did it first when they were both doing it? Natsu certainly didn't seem to mind if it was either him or her in this regard.

"Mmm yeah I can hear it going on still. But that's fine too. Not like we had to be anywhere any time soon right?"

Lucy grinned, "Even if we did, I don't think I'd be able to. I have a greedy, cuddly dragon curled up around me," she nuzzled against his chest, "And the dragon has a greedy, cuddly Queen hanging onto him." So she wasn't letting him go anywhere. I don't mind the rain though - it's nice ambiance." she murmured softly.

"I'll give you that. It make me want to curl up around you and jut never every let you go again~" Natsu purred softly as he pressed his lips to Lcy's neck with all the adoration and desire in his heart.

Lucy chuckled, "When you say things like the, Natsu.. I feel like it's intentional to make me stay in your arms even longer." She purred. How could anyone want to pull away when their precious beloved was like this?

"And if it was? Would you be against it? Doesn't look tht way from where I'm standing~" Natsu called her out on that desire to be with him. He always did because it showed he knew just how much she enjoyed these moments with him.

"You're not standing at all." she countered, giggling as she traced a finger along his jaw affectionately, ".. but no I wouldn't. And you know that, my lover dragon." She accused affectionately, "I'd be absolutely fine staying in your arms like this for hours." Not having to move at all.

"Taking things literally like that isn't going to fool anyone~" Natsu shot back with a cheeky grin before he claimed another adoring kiss from Lucy's lips while his hands wandered over her back while pressing into her so keenly.

Lucy chuckled at the cheeky response, her own muffled against his lips as she returned the kiss, "Mmhm - and stealing kisses to distract me isn't going to work either." She giggled, before she melts against him with a soft purr, trailing her lips along his neck.

"well then it's a good thing I wasn't trying to distract you, isn't it~" Natsu grinned before a growl issued from his lips when he felt her working on his neck again in such delightful ways.

"Mmmnoo?" she paused to lift her head and look at him suspiciously. And also to quickly steal a kiss. "Then what were you doing, hrm?" Does it count if he was a distraction just by breathing, just by smiling or looking at her, or even just by saying her name?

"Oh nothing special. Just showing how much a certain star queen means to this dragon king~" Natsu answered with a purr after she copied his sneaky ways to claim a kiss of her own before he could react.

Lucy grinned, settling against him again and resting her forehead against his, drinking in the sight of him, smug grin and all, "Is that what you call it? Then I should show how much a certain dragon king means to this star queen~" She murmured, her fingers gently running over his body and tracing little patterns. Hearts, diamonds, his name, her name, their names together- everything she could think of.

"Oh and just how will you do that?" Natsu asked with a purr, tilting his head up to brush his lips against hers as he spoke, his hands also moving across Lucy's smooth curve of her back.

Her lips curved against his, her voice intimately soft, her breath felt against his lip as she gave him light kisses in between her words, her eyes half lidded in bliss at the feel of his hand smoothing over her skin, "Mmm, I suppose I'll start by spending the rest of my life covering you in kisses for the rest of yours. How's that sound?" She murmured softly, her smile adoring.

"Mmmm that sounds like exactly what I want to hear~" Natsu answered with a soft smile as he leaned forward to run his lips against Lucy's cheek and jaw while he shifted his body beneath her a little bit.

"Then I will promise the same~"

"Mmmh," she purred softly, "Careful," she teased, "Do things like that too much and I don't know what I'll do," But it'll probably be to his benefit. No not just probably - definitely, as she nuzzled her lips over his throat.

"WHat's wrong with that? It means it's a surprise for both of us~" He really wouldn't mind that kind of element of chaos. AFter all it would be something with Lucy and not jut anyone.

Lucy laughed against his ear, nuzzling against him, "You're always encouraging bad habits in me.. like staying in bed with you all day." She nipped his ear gently, "We'll have to take a mission, one that'll pay enough I won't feel guilty about staying in all day and doing nothing but being with you.

"If it's the two of us, we can take on any mission so that won't be a problem~" Natsu purred, his delight evident in the lightness of his voice and the excited glimmer in his eyes.

"You're absolutely right," she grinned, "So tomorrow when we go to the guild, I'll have a look at the mission board and see for myself if there are any good ones." Though at his response, Lucy studied his face for a second, and giggled, "Heehee, you look so excited, I wonder what you're looking forward to more - the mission.. or spending time with ~me~."

"Both of course~ Though mostly the second one~" SInce that would always be his choice if he absolutely had to make one. Natsu prioritized Lucy above all else in his life after all. Especially after....more or lesss settling thing regarding igneel.
