midnightstar | How it should have happened!

"If you do this, you won't be able to come back. They'll think of you as a traitor or a spy, the same as Allen." Komui had said. Well, she probably wouldn't be judged AS harshly as Allen, but it wouldn't look favorably on Lenalee if she up and abandoned the Order to chase after him. It was one thing to drag him back, but knowing what would wait for him if she did, she had no intention of doing so. And she had no intention of leaving his side once she found him either.

This... was not what she had dreamed of when she thought about the days of not being needed in the Order - when she and Allen could live together, even with Komui. But she didn't regret her decision. She did, however, worry about Komui once she left - because he would probably take the consequences for it. Sure he reassured her about it, that he would be fine - and that he would even follow as soon as he could, if he could -- lord knows they would be watching him like a /hawk/ if they didn't imprison him or something.

Was this really the right thing to do? Abandon her family for her love? Lenalee shook her head. Had to stop thinking like that. Komui was no fool, and he had his own allies there. He'd be fine.. besides, the dreams she had when she was able to sleep.. they worried her. frightened her, even.

No, that's a laugh. She hadn't been able to sleep properly since Allen took off. That's why she went out with the team to try and find them - but since they were called back, Lenalee couldnt help but disagree with the decision. Which is why she called her brother on a secure line and ..he already knew honestly. He knew she wouldn't agree to peacefully going back, after all she and Allen had been through.

So with her brother's blessing, reassurance and request that she convey his worries to Allen as well, Lenalee made an excuse that she needed to use the bathroom, and bolted the moment she was out of sight. Once she lost her pursuers, she would focus on searching for Allen properly. And pray (ha) she wasn't making a horrible mistake.

"I don't think you'd ever want me to lose that~" Allen purred softly since she was being playful and content at the same time. So much so he just couldn't help but curl up around her even more.

"Mmmm so what did you have in mind today~?"

"Allennnn." Lenalee groaned faintly, with a mock pout when he had the audacity to get more cozy. Thereby making her want to move even less. She muffled a soft giggle, absently drawing circles on his back with her finger, "Maybe.. something to eat?" She suggested a bit meekly. "I'm actually famished." She burned so many calories!

"That...actaully doesn't sound half bad. To think you'd make me think of food second only to yourself." Allen chuckled shamelessly before claiming another kiss from Lenalee's lips but then moving to let her up from him but never completely out of reach as he admired Lenalee in all her radiant if still a little drowsy glory.

Lenalee blushed at that - knowing his appetite for food -- and for her -- it was high praise to know he would rate her first. And ..maybe not that surprising. She'd do the same for him. She chuckled softly, nuzzling against him affectionately after he so shamelessly stole another kiss, and pulled back, "Heehee.. do you have to stare like that," she teased playfully, "It's really distracting~" She yawned a bit before unconsciously giving an unfairly lazy stretch, and letting out a long sigh. To think she used to get up so early and here she never wanted to budge if he was sleeping.

It was still something of an understatement of her relevance and importance in his heart. Allen gently reached up to rub his thumb over her cheek and peering into that precious face with a loving smile.

"I do. Because seeing you smile recharges me like nothing else~" Though seeing her stretch like that while on top of him only made him distracted even more.

Lenalee tilted her head at him, smiling softly as she felt her heart beating quicker just at the look on his face. Oh he just made her melt all over again. "Hmhm, you say that, but I think food and sleep recharge you a little better than just my smile," she murmured, nuzzlin his cheek. Before giving a -SIGH-. ".. but I really will get up now, or... aah... we're going to miss breakfast. Again." She added a little sheepisly, before she climbed off of him slowly, if a bit reluctantly.

Allen watched her from behind for a moment before he also got up from the bed, almost reflexively reaching around to grab her from around the waist and pull her against him. "Wonder what they'll have on the menu today."

That's what she gets for turning her back to him. Just as she was about to 'get free', she felt his arm wrap around her and pull her back, causing her to burst out laughing, "Allen!" She let herself relax against him, bemusedly, "Probably the standard faire, but not something with as much variety as we'd find at an inn or ..." The Order. She paused for a second, then mentally shook her head an smiled at him, "We won't know until we go. Aren't you hungry?" He had to be hungry, he always had a huge appetite! She rested her arms over his, absolutely not doing anything to help prevent him from stealing more cuddles.

A pity there's no option for us to cook for ourselves~ I would love to taste your cooking and see how much you've learned from Jerry." Allen chuckled fondly before he finally let go reluctantly of Lenalee but not going so far as to let go of her hand. If possible he never wanted to break contact with her ever again. Doing so once had already ached as if he'd cut off half of his heart and left it behind.

"Maybe if we find a place to stay after we get off the train," Lenalee ventured. Even if it was just them camping out - she might not have access to everything she needed, but she didn't think he'd mind. And though he let go of her, she was feeling incredibly lazy about actually getting up to go. "..haha, actually it's too bad they don't have some sort of delivery service.." Then they'd never have to leave the room. "Although we can at least get the food and bring it back here." she reasoned, absently toying with the fingers of his hand as she leaned against him. Ahh, the coziness.

"I was thinking of doing that anyway. I don't want to bother with other people in the dining car when we can have our own little train picnic in our room~" Allen chuckled cheekily before leaning in to lightly blow against Lenalee's neck as they made their way out of the room.

"You realize you're being incredibly cute right now in my eyes, right?"

Lenalee flashed a grin at him, "That sounds like a fantastic idea." They probably bothered people enough last night (*keff*). At the puff of air against her neck, she squealed and skipped forward a step or two, laughing, "Hey..!" That was utterly unfair!

"Heehee, but you say that about me all the time, what makes now any different?"

"Just because I say it every time simply means you find ways to surpass yourself endlessly in my eyes~" Allen shot back and caught up to her with a cheeky grin while he took hold of her hand and brought it up to his lips for a quick peck.

Lenalee laughed again, squeezing his hand gently when he gave it a light peck. Leaning against him, "Hmmm.. you really must have been practicing being such a silver tongued rogue," she teased, bringing her other hand around his waist, "It's probably a good thing we'll bring our food back to the room." No one would survive the blast radius of their cute adorable ways.

Allen smiled demurely while he walekd off with Lenalee ignoring any funny looks they might get along the way. He smiled softly and nuzzed behind her ear since he pulled her along.

"it is~ Since No one else deserves to bask in the warmth of your presence."

Lenalee flashed an impish look at him, leaning against his side as she followed with him, "Heehee, that'll make ordering food rather difficult, don't you think?" She teased playfully. "of course, ther's only one person I want to 'drown' in my presence~"

"It's only because we need to order food that I am making this compromise. After all I would not want your light to shower on anyone other than me. You brought back that selfish side of mine from way in the past~" Allen purred as he nuzzled gently against her cheek with a barely hidden smile.

Lenalee smiled softly, leaning against him and sliding her arm around his waist tighter as they strolled towards the dining car. "Hm.. well considering how you rarely ever think of yourself, I think you should be allowed to be a bit selfish. And you can be selfish all you want when we get back to our cabin." she promised with a teasing smirk. Then more aloud she nodded over towards the door, "But first, we need to get some fuel for ourselves."

"Better get more than a full tank's worth since what you just said, I intend to take you up on that to the fullest and beyond." Allen chuckled cheekily before pulling away from her cheek to just walk arm in arm with her.

Lenalee shot Allen a quick look at that suggestion, floundering for a response for a second. But after a second's thought, it wasn't really _THAT_ baffling that he wanted to take her up on it .. considering how greedy they both were for each other. Still hearing him say that still made her blush, and she hugged his arm close, her hand curling into his as she found her voice, "Haha, then I should stock up on tea too, should I?" She teased, the embarrassed little blush rising in her cheeks. Especially when they passed other passengers who gave them an occasional jealous or irritated glance.

Hmm. maybe they -were- loud last night after all. No where is safe!

He did so love getting one up on her to the point that she is reeling from his words for a few seconds after the fact.

"that might be wise. We don't want to bother other people too much if we don't absolutely have to~" Allen purred before he lightly ran his lips over her cheek. Naturally he saw the looks they were getting but he could not care less about those people right now in the moment.

He was never one to care about what other people thought - Lenalee was the one more concerned about that, but it was also hard to think about other people when he was being sweet and affectionate. A smile immediately came at the feel of his lips brushing against her cheek, and she leaned against his side, nuzzling against him lightly, "Haha, n-no we don't.." Tea was going to quickly become absolutely necessary for their continued relationship. "Ah, here we are," she leaned away a bit as the doors slid open to their advance, and she padded into the dining car, wondering mildly how they were going to get all the food they were going to order back to the room.

Maybe they could borrow a cart...

Being a circus performer meant one had to put up with both praise and the occasional jerk who just wanted to make someone else feel worse than they did. As such Allen's skin was immensely thick when it came to gossip and rumors about himself or those with him.

"I saw a cart in the corner over there." Allen said pointing out the small trolley that had been left in that corner. "We can probably borrow that to get the food to our room~"

Lenalee glannced over towards the trolley, and then back to him with a smile, "I'll get it. You go ahead and start to order." Because she highly doubted he'd be finished ordering by the time she walked back with the cart. And just in case any of those unattached women eyeing Allen got any funny ideas (SHE SEES YOU OUT THERE), she leaned up to kiss his cheek, her hand lingering on his waist a second or two before she turned to pad over to get it.

Allen smiled and left her with a kiss on her cheek. Or he would have if she didn't beat him to it and surprise him but then nodded with a smile before going over to order the small feast they both needed. Between Allen's monsrous appetite and the one Lenalee had worked and would continue to work up with him during their trip? Well he hoped the train was well stocked.
