Shionne and Alphen in Menancia

They've all come a long way since Calaglia, both in terms of distance and... other things. Things Shionne was forcing herself not to acknowledge. Because what would the point be to acknowledge those thoughts when she couldn't act on them - when at the end of this journey, she had no future? Ah... but that was something she hadn't - couldn't - tell the others, who she's begun thinking of as more than just 'tools'.

Particularly Alphen.

It was the hardest to think of him when she knew how much she was keeping from him. Much to her frustration, however, the group had decided to take a break for a little while since Shionne's pace had been pushing the others quite a lot - and they did just gain two new companions. Shionne was avoiding them as much as possible, deciding to go for a walk through the city almost...baffled by how accepting the Dahnans and Renans were.

It was ... nice. But it felt so alien to her, at the same time.

For a long time, Alisa worried they wouldn't see Rean again - no one in Class VII, new or old, could possibly have foreseen the kind of suffering and trauma Rean had been going through while he was at the Black Workshop.. and most of it was because of their fathers. Still she had to hand it to Juna for snapping them out of that depression enough that they were able to work together to get him back. They really wouldn't have rescued him otherwise.

And now he was finally back, momentarily freed from the effects of the curse that had tortured him for two weeks and some change. Physically different, with his white hair.. she didn't mind it though. He was still Rean, no matter what he looked like. Most of the other Class VII had already kept an eye on him - Machias, Elliot, Kurt, Jusis, Juna, Fie, Emma, Gaius, Ash, Sara, and even those other two girls, Renne and KeA.. Laura and Musse would probably have their turn next after Alisa and Altina, but Alisa didn't ...really want to leave his side, and she knew Altina didn't either. Personally Alisa felt they had more right to pull a double shift for Rean, even triple, than anyone else.

Although Altina hadn't managed to stay awake - she smiled faintly seeing the girl sleeping in the chair opposite her, slumped against the bed. She wanted to stay awake watching him so much - Alisa had more experience in staying up all night to make deadlines, so she wasn't struggling yet. And besides, despite what her family had done she still wanted to be selfish, to be the one to be the first one Rean saw when he woke up. As unrealistic that was.. he probably would sleep for hours more yet, and he'd already nearly slept the entire day away. ".. I'm sorry, Rean.." she murmured faintly. That guilt she had for the part her father had to play not in just Rean's situation, but everyone else's too.. that wasn't going to go away anytime soon. But Rean's recovery was more important than anything right now- even her own feelings.

How it should have happened!

"If you do this, you won't be able to come back. They'll think of you as a traitor or a spy, the same as Allen." Komui had said. Well, she probably wouldn't be judged AS harshly as Allen, but it wouldn't look favorably on Lenalee if she up and abandoned the Order to chase after him. It was one thing to drag him back, but knowing what would wait for him if she did, she had no intention of doing so. And she had no intention of leaving his side once she found him either.

This... was not what she had dreamed of when she thought about the days of not being needed in the Order - when she and Allen could live together, even with Komui. But she didn't regret her decision. She did, however, worry about Komui once she left - because he would probably take the consequences for it. Sure he reassured her about it, that he would be fine - and that he would even follow as soon as he could, if he could -- lord knows they would be watching him like a /hawk/ if they didn't imprison him or something.

Was this really the right thing to do? Abandon her family for her love? Lenalee shook her head. Had to stop thinking like that. Komui was no fool, and he had his own allies there. He'd be fine.. besides, the dreams she had when she was able to sleep.. they worried her. frightened her, even.

No, that's a laugh. She hadn't been able to sleep properly since Allen took off. That's why she went out with the team to try and find them - but since they were called back, Lenalee couldnt help but disagree with the decision. Which is why she called her brother on a secure line and ..he already knew honestly. He knew she wouldn't agree to peacefully going back, after all she and Allen had been through.

So with her brother's blessing, reassurance and request that she convey his worries to Allen as well, Lenalee made an excuse that she needed to use the bathroom, and bolted the moment she was out of sight. Once she lost her pursuers, she would focus on searching for Allen properly. And pray (ha) she wasn't making a horrible mistake.

More Reunions

How long has it been since the Holy Grail war ended? How many sleepless nights did she have, thinking about him..how she lost him? Oh sure, some might say that Shirou Emiya was there, and he was a more idealistic version of Archer...but they were completely different people. She'd be lying if she said she didn't have feelings for Shirou, but it was Archer who was constantly on her mind.

And a year passed with regrets unsaid and wishes unfulfilled, until she started wondering.. but what if...

What if she could summon him back without the Grail War being a factor? Nowhere could she find it that someone couldn't summon one of the Heroic Spirits into the world outside of the war, right...? She'd asked Shiro once about his opinion, hypothetically of course. Something like that never occurred to him - he was ..more well adjusted and happy with Rin's help, and he was keen to move on. Rin COULD have moved on, with him, but she would have always compared him to Archer, and that wasn't fair to either of them.

So they went their separate ways, still as friends, and while he went to England to study, she researched and she studied and she practiced in private over the next few years. Most of her summoning spells failed utterly - the timing was off, there wasn't enough mana provided - it was always something small she'd neglected. When her spells DID succeed it was never with the correct Spirit. She'd summoned a Lancer, a Rider, Saber... and the worst part was that she had summoned Archer a number of times. But not _HER_ Archer. Not the one who remembered her and those times hurt.

Trying to start over with a different Archer wasn't even an option. It was her Archer or no Archer...and that made things considerably harder. Maybe all of her failures were telling her that... she should give up on him. Move on.

Too bad Rin was too stubborn and 4 years hadn't made her any less so. If nothing else it made her MORE stubborn. And she was really going to give Archer a piece of her mind, not just for what happened during the war, but for putting her through all of this! Hmph. The 23 year old would be dressed quite differently from her usual attire.

"This is going to work. This is GOING to WORK." she muttered to herself as if sheer will could bring him to her when all the previous tries - with just as much will and determination - had failed. This time was different - she hoped, as she cast the spell to try and pull one specific spirit out of hundreds of of different versions of spirits. "Let this work and I'll never ask for anything else..."

And so it begins~ The Heiress and the Servant

WELP, there she goes- the other..well. former heiress of the Schnee legacy. It was raining only a little bit compared to the tempestuous downpour from a few days ago, but even rain wouldn't stop Weiss from seeing her big sister off. She watched her go with mixed feelings - a smile on her face, her head held high in pride..even if inside she wished she could spend more time with her, to get closer to her. And she also felt a little anxious - it was clear that Winter wasn't exactly ecstatic with the little big of progress that Weiss had made since she was gone. Weiss had to do better, so that Winter wouldn't worry about her. And then there was Archer... she really couldn't get a decent read on that guy! It was frustrating. "Safe trip, Winter!" Weiss called after her sister, waving - a much restrained wave because Schnee's did not jump around and shout the way she might have wanted to. Always the picture of restraint, grace and elegance. Once the vehicle took to the air, she ducked her head a little and shielded her face from the way the wind tore at her dress and hair, flapping both about until it was aloft and well on its way. Leaving Weiss alone.

Well... not -quite- alone.

IMMA GET ME A BEARR

Quite frankly a LOT has happened in the last few days. It felt like they weren't even once having a moment's rest lately, and tensions in the kingdom seemed to be increasing rather than decreasing. What was Soo Won -Doing-?

Waging war of course. At least Yona and her friends had managed to get quite a reputation for themselves,.. enough of one that Yoon had actually suggested they distance themselves a teensy bit from the castle, just long enough to let things calm down a little. None of them were anywhere near ready for a confrontation with the usurper and his allies yet. Yona had only agreed when Jaeha brought up the point that some other villages nearby might need their help if they got caught up in the fighting.

Which is what brings them to a small feudal village a little more than a day or two away from the castle - close enough that they could keep an eye on things, but far enough to hopefully avoid any attention. Jaeha had even managed to work his 'magic' and secure a place for them to stay, amazingly.

Yona didn't know what he said and she didn't think she wanted to know either. But when everyone split up to restock supplies, gather information, or simply help otu around town, Yona and Yoon had offered to get food for the group. And Yona was feeling feisty enough to actually want to go hunt a grizzly, much to Yoon's exasperation.

The last few days in Trista had been hectic, what with the final battle against the monstrous glowing beast that many times, made Alisa wonder if they were in fact going to vanquish the trial or not...but they all perservered. Together. Just as she's always said, if they stay together, they can accomplish anything. That was the Miracle of Class VII.

Although they weren't all together anymore. Laura left to travel with her father, Emma left to find Vita and to find a way to help Rean with his situation; Machias and Elliot went back to Heimdallr, while Millium went back with Claire, promising to come back and visit, of course. Gaius went home, and Fei left with Sara and Toval, joining the bracers. Wheras Alisa...

Well, the option was there for her to go back to Roer, but her grandfather had things under control enough that she didn't feel she /needed/ to go back to Roer just yet, and she could take care of some issues remotely, by being a liasion and contact through some of the towns such as Celdic and Trista. More importantly, Trista was like her home too - and for now, Rean was staying in Trista too. Staying by his side was definitely a motivator in her staying in Trista also, obviously.

And despite that they weren't attending Thors anymore, technically, they were still allowed to stay in the Class VII dorm for the time being. Come he new school year that might change, but that was still a few months off. At the moment, Alisa was relaxing in the little park, a laptop in her lap, but her attention was on the lino flowers blooming, their loosened petals blowing in the wind.

Since graduating from the Academy, life has been..interesting for Alisa, to say the least. She's been kept very busy, since she was upholding her promise to her mother on showing her the proper way to run the company, and it wasn't easy to put in those changes. Though it would have been a lot harder if she didn't have the support of those around her. But because of that, she hadn't been able to get time to get to visit Rean as much as she liked.

Translation: As much as she liked = every day. She did get to visit - or vice versa - at least on the weekend, and she talked to him almost every night thanks to the range on the ARCUS. Just as finished up for the night, she made her way up to the penthouse, glancing around to make sure she was alone (And you never know with Sharon) in order to take out her ARCUS once more and see if she could get a hold of Rean before bed. She was planning on seeing if he was in the area - alternatively, she was sure she could get away for a visit, if he wasn't busy.

Spending day after day in the cabin Natsu had built near the Guild, going on missions and living, being WITH Natsu was plain and simple, pure. Heaven. Lucy could genuinely not think of any time she was as happy as she was with him. It still amused her to think of the times she was too flustered to acknowledge her feelings for him, until things came to a head.

And then the kids came along during that mission - Nev and Justine, along with their 'mom' Regine. If Natsu becoming an integral part of Lucy's life was like completing her, then the kids and Regine were the added frosting on a perfected cake. Yeah that metaphor was all over the place. GRANTED it was a little difficult to get time alone with Nev and Justine almost demanding their attention a good amount of the time, but she didn't mind, and didn't think Natsu did either. They had their evenings together, and their little hiding spots to sneak away to, sometimes just for fun.

Meanwhile the first rays of light were beginning to filter in through the window-shades of their room, with Lucy snuggled up against Natsu's side, an arm wrapped around him with a faint smile on her lips. Not quite awake yet, but in that in-between point of just about to rouse. The birds had barely even begun to chirp when the distant BAM! of a door swinging open, followed by barely hushed giggling voices and scampering feet could be heard by Dragonslayer senses with ease, obviously heading towards said cabin.

Time Passes!

The passage of time was almost impossible to gauge with no clocks or timepieces in the room, and no proper sunlight to help judge it also. Or it may have been for as long as the two lovers had alternated between watching each other, petting Cui, and eventually drifting off to sleep from the peace and quiet and calm of their antics.

No dreams come to Fang this time, thankfully, but as he fell asleep after Tiara, he is the first to wake for a change - he probably wore her out more than even she thought. But naturally, the first thing he'll see is Tiara, fast asleep and pressed close into his arms. Cui is awake, though his attention was on something past Fang's shoulder - the door. Though not in guard-fairy mode, more curious.

And then there's a noise which Fang would realize as being the sound that roused him in the first place - a soft chiming noise, followed by a burst of static, and another staticky noise.

Cuicuicuicuicuicuicuicuicuicuicuicui~!

Tiara had meant it when she said she's teach Fang to dance. And as a perfectionist, she wasn't happy until he was able to at least keep up with the steps of some simple and even particularly complicated dances. So the lessons lasted for hours, until she'd exhausted her patience and memory of some of the dances - she did however fcus a great deal on close dances, for the obvious reason of wanting to be close to him.

When she FINALLY decided he'd do well enough not to embarrass her at the ball, it was fairly late, and Cui had already gotten into his position to sleep, tucked on a pillow between Tiara and Fang's pillows. Tiara was pretty excited about the prospect of the dance, since it'd been some time since they were able to go to something like that, but even more exciting was the raffle that was being offered - a short test flight around the planet's orbit. If it was successful, then they would finally be able to get off that godforsaken planet. She hoped to never hear the word Fayren again, and this being a way home .. oh it was so much better than the one they had found out about previous - one that was not based on sacrifices.

She went to bed at their usual time, without even teasing Fang like she usually did. Mostly because she'd been too distracted. But it's early in the morning, around three or four, before Fang would hear faint noises in his sleep. Sleepy mumbling that might sound close to his name, and sleepy giggling. Someone's having some pretty good dreams for a change - normally she was quiet in her sleep. Or the rare nights she wasn't sleeping well she would be holding him - but instead, tonight, she had her arms wrapped around her pillow and a broad grin (and maybe a tiny blush) on her face in her sleep. Goodness what was she dreaming about anyway, one wonders.

Homecoming!

Of late, life could best be described as hectic and busy at the headquarters. It seemed as soon as they came back from one mission, they'd be sent out on another with no time to relax between. The only thing that mad it tolerable is that most of thoe missions Lenalee went on, Allen was with her.

They'd been together for a few months now, and ... perhaps surprising no one who knew about their relationship, Lenalee still hadn't managed to break the news to her brother. And he hadn't figured it out either. Sadly of course, with as busy as everyone's been, Allen and Lenalee hadn't managed to find much time to be together in a less than professional sense either.

On the other hand, in the time that they'd been working with culling the number of Akuma, Lenalee's hair had actually grown back to the length it was before, and she actually wore it in an over the shoulder ponytail, instead of her usual twintails, for a change.

With the both of them returning to the Order's headquarters, Lenalee flashed a smile at her brother where he stood waiting to greet her, stepping forward to be engulfed in the overportective brotherly hug. "Welcome home, Lenalee, Allen," Komui grinned, paying no mind to Lenalee when she flailed and tried to pull out of his arms. "How did it go?"

(no subject)

Her sleep was dreamless - no, that wasn't entirely true. It wasn't dreamless, for they were centered around one person and one person alone. Of course, that person being the one who was currently lying under her, being used as her personal bed. Hopefully he was comfortable. She had shifted a little in her sleep so she wasn't completely on top of him though.

Though as she came to start waking up, the events of the previous evening started filtering into her memory. The warmth of his body pressed against hers, the feel of his arms around her..what they did, and how.. oh and the fact that their clothing was still flung on the floor from their haste. WELL. She felt mighty embarrassed about that.

..she needed to get her clothing and dress - would she be able to slip free of Fang's arms? Well there's Cui too, who was contentedly sleeping on Tiara's back. It was like she was sandwiched in!

Now and then, despite Tiara deciding not to wish for her own death, or want to sacrifice herself so she couldn't be used to revive the Vile God, she still had ... rough nights. They might still be trapped in another world for the time being, but there were people trying to find their way back, and she was always keeping her ear to the ground for hints herself. And..after having certain conversations with Fang, her nightmares had been kept at bay for quite some time.

Except tonight, when she woke in a cold sweat, her body trembling with a fear she couldn't define, and Cui curled up beside her, watching her anxiously. For a long moment, she sat up in her bed, trying to regain her composure, slow her breathing and remind herself that the Vile God was not revived, that she was ... sort of safe despite certain anti-mage groups going AWOL.

"Cuii..?" Cui uncurled from where he had been snuggled up at her side, to put a paw on her leg.

Tiara managed a slow smile, patting the fairy, "No I ... I am fine, Cui. It was just a dream...dreams cannot harm me." But they can keep her awake at night. They can make her wish she had someone to sit up with her ..for a little while. She shook her head. No, Fang was no doubt fast asleep and she couldn't wake him up. Her pride wouldn't allow it, for one. For another, he'd make fun of her for being frightened of dreams like a child, she felt.

So instead, she quietly got up. She could get dressed and go for a walk -- ah, but that would be risky wouldn't it? Still...

On a Night Full of Stars

Yona had come a long way from the spoiled, complaining almost bratty princess she was back at the castle. But to think she had to go through that kind of hardship, just for her to mature and become more independent. The Yona of old would have complained about sleeping on the ground, traveling on foot for hours and miles on end - but not now. Still, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't glad when they came in view of a town. She'd be able to get clean, wash her hair properly, sleep in a real bed--

All frivolous thoughts. What took up her thoughts more often lately was a certain person -- well two certain people -- but particularly the one that traveled with her, that she refused to let leave her side. That she would one day have to give back his freedom and see him walk out of her life. Was it really a surprise that Yona found it difficult to sleep? That she had quietly slipped out of the room she had been given for the night, to walk out of the Inn, her attention on the starry sky. Not the safest thing to do, but when did she ever do anything that wasn't reckless and crazy lately?

Second Verse, same as the first~! :3

Naturally she was barely out of breath by the time she got home just minutes later, but she did draw a number of odd stares when they saw her squealing and fleeing from the dragon who would have no trouble whatsoever hunting her down. She laughs, though she quiets down when she reached the guild since she didn't want to wake the children sleeping upstairs. Passing through the guild to take the short cut (for her) she continued through to their little cottage, trotting inside to set the food down and start unpacking. "Oh man, they really went all out with the spices this time." And because she knows Natsu can hear her from whereever he is, she added loudly, "It's such a shame I don't have anyone to share it with!" Actually she's pretty sure she'd turn to ash if she ate the really spicey one.

A SURPRISE LENALEE APPROACHES; Command?

Despite all of everything the Black Order has been through, it was business as usual for the various teams. Lenalee and Allen were in one team with Miranda and a few Finders. Lucky them, their mission took them to the mountains - beautiful scenery, but cold weather. Fortunately they managed to find a small inn with vacancies, so they could stay indoors. Amazingly, Miranda was actually sleeping more peacefully than Lenalee at the moment.

Although after all of the scenarios and seeing all of the deaths in the war with the Earl and fighting the akuma, (...not to mention what she personally has been through), it really should come as no surprise that Lenalee's sleep was less than restful. While she managed to snatch an hour or two here and there of sleep, worries about her friends, her brother, and one exorcist in particular all contributed to making her nightmare particularly bloody and gruesome. When she jerked awake for the second time that night (or was it third, she wasn't sure), she knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep right away, so she silently slipped out of her room, padding down the hall. Maybe a glass of water would settle her nerves.

There is no Heat, there is only *(ZUUL)* comfortably warm weather!

It was the perfect kind of day. The kind of day summers should be - warm, but not too warm, with nice, soothing breezes. That being said, it was also the kind of lazy summer day that made her want to not get out of bed. Though that was entirely the fault of certain people who shared the bed with her. She couldn’t help but want to stay snuggled up against him, even in the warmth.

Nonetheless, she did (...eventually) manage to pry herself away and force herself to get up and get dressed. Which was fortunate, because by the time she emerged from the shower, Justyne and Nev were wide awake and knocking on the door to come bounce on the bed. Or Natsu. Maybe both. Most likely both. Okay, it was definitely both.

Lucy giggled as she towel-dried her hair, glancing towards the door that the kids were knocking on semi-patiently. “I’ll get it. Maybe Regina will need help with breakfast.” And then they could decide what their plans will be for that day. But first, she padded over to where he was to wrap her arms around him for a quick (Pff, ha, quick) hug.

DA KIDLETS because i miss them so

Now that the weather was warmer, the kids were no longer so restless (not that they could be too restless with Natsu around to play with) and were eager to go out and on adventures of their own, both with their older sis/bro/not parents and without. Regine was kept busy helping to tend the guild in their absence, though occasionally she got dragged off by the children for adventures, on days that Natsu and Lucy had work to do.

Although lately there'd been a lot of jobs, so Lucy, at least, hadn't had time to spend with the kids quite so much. Which was why she had suggested taking the kids to the beach for fun, sun, fishing, and whatever else they wanted to do. Good plan, yes? Yes! Nev'd been up since the crack of dawn, full of excitement, and vigor, like a tiny fire-less Natsu. Justyne, on the other hand, had slept in a little more. Lucy just had to put a few final touches on her appearance - since her hair had gotten much longer in the last few months. "Twenty jewels say that Neveren will be knocking on the door in five minutes." She called over to Natsu with a grin.
