Christmas and Thanksgiving were going to be difficult holidays for Regina and the kids. They had, for the most part, mended from the deaths of their friends, but this would also be the first Christmas slash Thanksgiving without them. So for that afternoon, she decided to let Natsu distract the kids and the dog for the time being. More than likely they were bundled up and jumping in piles of leaves outside, or begging Natsu for more demonstrations. As for herself, she went to help distract Regine with preparing food. Happily, Regina only took Lucy's bright smile for her natural demeanor and not for any other reasons.

On the other hand, Lucy hadn't been able to stop smiling since the night she and Natsu were.. er.. very intimate together. Assuming she didn't drift off into a dreamy spacey mode when she thought no one was looking. And if she actually saw him, forget it - it took everything she had not to grab him and hold him close. Heck, before that night she had difficulty keeping her eyes off him - it was more so now. SO it was probably for the best that she had something like cooking and entertaining Regine to occupy her attention.

If Regine noticed the way Lucy's conversation chatter kept turning to the topic of Natsu unconsciously, she didn't mention it, though she did seem amused for some reason. Currently the ladies were discussing options for the dinner - the kids wanted to start eating spicier food to - obviously - be more like Natsu after all.

Nope he knows that deep down she loves the teasing and the banter. He can hear the beating of her heart quicken for a moment, the sign of someone being caught with their hand in the cookie jar that only he was privy to.

"Well I could stop and get a mirror to show you. But do you really want me to do that~?"

"No!" Wait. "I-I mean..." erm. What does she mean? "...no." She didn't need to see a mirror to know her face was a darker color than his hair even right now. Just a face full of pinkness and brown eyes. Difficult it might be to think clearly with the way his hand was brushing her side, the last thing she wanted him to do was -stop- doing that. "I...I think I can guess.." Is it hot in here or is it just him?

... oh wait, that's a literal question isn't it?

Okay that was his limit. He'd been holding back his amusement with all his might but her kneejerk reaction and the way her face resembled a tomato than a person's. It was just too much and with a snort he started laughing before lowering his head next to her neck, laughing into the bedsheets.

"I can't...I can't hold it in. You're just too much Lucy!"

How rude! She was stunned for a second when he burst out laughing, glancing towards him out of the corner of her eye. "A-and.. and just what is so funny?" Pink -and- puffy cheeked, as she huffs up at him, amused by the sound of his laughter, but feigning peevishness as was the way of Lucy's.

It took him a while to settle down though the effect of laughing himself breathless made his expression even softer than usual as his eyes were half lidded from the few tears of mirth he shed from the whole thing. "What? You even have to ask. It's how cute you can be~"

.. seeing that soft expression on his face, she couldn't keep up the huffy farce, grinning instead. "You're so weird, Natsu." She chuckled softly. Of course with him even closer than before it was even harder to not notice.. everything. Probably a good thing her arms were still around his neck - she hadn't gotten the temptation to admire his chest properly yet.

"Weird huh? Well a weird guy for a weird girl. I think that's to be expected~" Natsu chuckled softly and actually leaned in to press his lips to Lucy's ear while still smiling as softly as before. " You're really somethin though, Lucy. " he murmured afterwards, his tone growing fonder and more appreciative than it already was.

Lucy made a face at him calling her weird, She huffed a faint breath at the feel of his lips at her ear, her voice a soft murmur to match his. "Hmmm.. -now- who's stealing people's lines?" She murmured back. She didn't think voice by itself could make her more attracted to someone. "That's my line, you know."

The huff tickled his skin in a delightful way to say the least. A soft loving chuckle was his riposte to that fact and his lips pressed themselves a little lower on her neck. "Maybe it is. Doesn't make it untrue though."

She stifled a soft noise at the press of his lips, "H..haha, there you go again, stealing lines." She grinned teasingly. "Y-you know, some writers sue people for ..for things like that. I ..uh. I could make an exception in your case though."

"Ohohoh how generous of you~" Natsu chuckled, hearing her grin without having to actually see it to know it's there. He pressed another kiss to her warm skin and his hand shifted higher up along her side, getting his fill of enjoying her touch and presence.

It takes her a moment to phrase her response, as she purred faintly at the second kiss and the feel of his hand sliding up her side. "Mm...w.. well yeah I.. I....uh... we 've been through so much for so long, it's... it's the least I can do." She didn't mind him getting his fill - she was going to let her hand wander up to pet through his hair though, threading her fingers through while he was doing that.

"I could say the same to you, you know." Natsu answered gently and pressed another kiss, this time lowering more of his body on top of hers, reminding her that yes she had a very deliciously built dragon slayer on top of her right now. Though the hand in his hair felt fantastic just from the light threading and the occasional tug.

Oh she needed no reminding of -that-. More of him against her made her want to feel...well.. more of him. Which is probably why her free hand was slowly sliding down his back over the vest as she felt him pressing more of himself against her.

"Mm..I suppose you -could- in.. in theory." She murmured absently, shivering slightly in pleasure and tilting her chin up to let him reach more of her neck. "Not... not the same though since.. you're not a... not a writer." She doesn't sound much like one either, the way she had to fight to string words together coherently though.

Oh he definitely enjoyed the way her hand was going down his back like that. So much so that his body betrayed him as he shuddered in utter delight.

"Now you're just nitpicking and you know it~" Natsu chuckled feeling her shiver under him as well. Seriously how could they match themselves so utterly even without actually intending it? Well no matter. He let his hand move higher and higher still until he had to move away just to lightly cup the side of her neck.

She flashed a wide smile at him as he called her on her nitpicking. Feeling that shudder against her, she chuckled softly, her hand sliding lower so it can slip under his vest, letting it rest still for the time being, save for her thumb that gently slid against the skin, content to just have that contact.

"There's.. there's no rules that say I can't nitpick." She stammered defensively. Feeling his hand sliding up to her neck, she brought her hand from the back of his head to brush her fingers against his cheek, the blush her cheeks likely never to tone down at this rate.

"I'm surprised you can still think of rules~" He chuckled, once again turning to misthief as he nipped on her earlobe this time. just enough for her to feel his teeth teasing the skin and nothing more.

He was subdued right after that though by that soft touch to his cheek that melted his resolve in a heartbeat.

"You really don't play fair you know that?" And he stole another line of hers.

What do you expect from a dragon tamer? Although that nip effectively shorted out her brain for a second, as she uttered a soft whimper, cut short by her pulling her hand away to press it over her mouth. She didn't say ANYTHING.

"Wha..." What was he saying again? OH! Right, something about playing fair. Darn line thief. Well she was just going to take a page from his book and rally herself a little, smirking. "I.. W-Who said I wanted to play fair?" Especially when it was just the two of them. Somehow, inevitably, all bets were off when it came to playing fair.

She could say that nip was pretty unfair too, for that matter.

Dragon tamer. She certainly fits the template. She even has a whip to boot. But her tamed dragon could easily frazzle her all the same. So who was really taming who? Natsu chuckled hearing that whimper. Oh yes he heard it. She didn't have to say it.

"Oh you don't want to play fair hmmm? I can oblige~" Uh oh his voice was going down in tone again and his tongue actually traced the outside of her ear to reinforce his acceptance of her challenge.

Maybe they were taming each other? They certainly were taking on each other's qualities a lot, and they frazzled each other equally. "Wh.. wait I..I --" ohlord she stepped in it that time. His voice getting deeper was bad enough, but his tongue tracing the outside of her ear? Evil. She shivered under him witih another whimper, the hand against his back reflexively sliding across to his side.

There were no take backs in this little game of taming one another. Natsu was by nature a very tactile person and the things he knew he could do now with Lucy were merely the natural progression of that trait. And by god was it effective at frying Lucy's brain. Licks, nipping even sniffing. All of it made her react in so many amazing and entertaining ways.

"Hmmm did you say something~?" Oh yes he was well aware of the effect he was having and relishing it completely.

Well fine - she'd just get even with him. . .. when he wasn't frying her brain like he was. "Gh.." There definitely was a variety to how she reacted- she giggled a little at the sniffs, giggles that gave way to noises that were more akin to soft whimpers at the nips, squirming under him when she felt his tongue. And he had the audacity to ask her questions in all of that. "Y... you ... y'know I .. I did." She answered, her voice somewhere between amusement and a whine. So unfair and cruel and she will see her revenge, eventually.

Who said he'd give her a chance to get even to begin with. Natsu continued his faint assault on her senses on all fronts. It was so easy to pluck at the strings of her being to make her sing the way he liked it. His body shook a little over her as he chuckled to himself.

"Not really. It was hard to tell what you said. Maybe you can repeat it for me~" oh yes he was taking this the whole way.

Well even if he didn't let her get her revenge now, she would get it next time. That she'd promise him - if she were capable of thinking properly enough to say so. Although with the assault on her senses, that was rather difficult to think, letting out soft gasps. Augh. Repeat it?

"Nng.. I..ah.." What was it she said? Come on brain, work with me here~! "I.. it was... um... s... something.."

BRILLIANT.

Next time would be fun regardless. Natsu had to hold in another chuckle with how she could barely think of anything to counter him with.

"Something hmmm? Was it important enough to make me stop?" As if he would stop. But dangling the possibility in front of her like baiting a cat with yarn was another secret pleasure.
