Happy Holidays Charlie Brown! .. oh wait wrong canon

Christmas and Thanksgiving were going to be difficult holidays for Regina and the kids. They had, for the most part, mended from the deaths of their friends, but this would also be the first Christmas slash Thanksgiving without them. So for that afternoon, she decided to let Natsu distract the kids and the dog for the time being. More than likely they were bundled up and jumping in piles of leaves outside, or begging Natsu for more demonstrations. As for herself, she went to help distract Regine with preparing food. Happily, Regina only took Lucy's bright smile for her natural demeanor and not for any other reasons.

On the other hand, Lucy hadn't been able to stop smiling since the night she and Natsu were.. er.. very intimate together. Assuming she didn't drift off into a dreamy spacey mode when she thought no one was looking. And if she actually saw him, forget it - it took everything she had not to grab him and hold him close. Heck, before that night she had difficulty keeping her eyes off him - it was more so now. SO it was probably for the best that she had something like cooking and entertaining Regine to occupy her attention.

If Regine noticed the way Lucy's conversation chatter kept turning to the topic of Natsu unconsciously, she didn't mention it, though she did seem amused for some reason. Currently the ladies were discussing options for the dinner - the kids wanted to start eating spicier food to - obviously - be more like Natsu after all.

"Apologize? Why? I liked it when you were like that. I liked it a lot~" Natsu answered, his voice dipping lower with a purr before returning to its usual chipper tone. He could so naturally transiton between the various states of emotion.

For a second, she's at a loss for words, and not just because her throat was dry. Did he really have to do that thing with his voice like that? She cleared her throat a few times, marveling at that ability of his. "W..well I..kind of got a little carried away. I mean.. just hearing how you were responding it was really hard to stop." She grinned a little more, sheepishly. "I almost didn't."

He totally did, whether on purpose or not. It just came that naturally. Natsu grinned at her's leaning in for another nuzzle against her neck as she confessed how hard it had been to hold back.

"Then maybe next time you shouldn't~"

She chuckled against his ear as he nuzzled against her, tilting her head to nuzzled her nose into his hair briefly. "Maybe I won't. We'll see." Of course she had Plans(tm) that would probably get thrown out the window once she started.

She absently stroked her hand through his hair, almost fascinated by the soft feel in spite of the spiky style. Even his -hair- was a contradiction, who knew?

Natsu chuckled next to her ear this time. Again it was hard to tell if it was an accident. He finally pulled his face away from her neck. He felt very happy with himself.

Their very relationship was a contradiction. Lucy's official taste in men was so far from Natsu's traits that one might even think Lucy might not even have known what her taste actually was.

She often wondered if what he did was intentional to get a reaction out of her, or accidental because it was natural for him to. She'd have to say though, she was completely wrong about what she thought her taste in men was -- at least when it came to looking for princely kind of guys. In fact, thinking more about it, she couldn't help but smile a little more as she watched him. He.. really was perfect for her, and it amazed her it took her so long to see that.

He saw that smile out of the corner of his eye and pulled away so he was facing Lucy properly. "That smile is really unfair you know~ I would do anything for it~" Natsu murmured softly and cupped Lucy's cheek, stroking the corner of her mouth with his thumb before leaning in for another lingering kiss.

His comment on her smile only got her to smile more, "Then you know how I feel around you every day, when you smile at me, or say my name, or hold me in your arms." She murmured back, "I'm completely weak to you.." her hand rested against his side as she smiled into the kiss, leaning into it and utterly melting, almost following after him when he had to break away for air. Her own breathing coming in breathless pants, she licked her lips briefly, her voice barely above a whisper. "It ... maybe we...I mean --" Great he broke her brain.

He didn't need to answer her words, instead choosing to melt with her into that sweet kiss that was filled with so much joy and love. Love aimed at the other and so in tune that it might as well have been a single great emotion.

He gazed into her eyes as she struggled to catch her breath. Her words were faint but with his hearing her heard them loud and clear.

"Anything. Anything you want, Lucy"

Oh god how she could barely think beyond wanting more of those sweet, addicting kisses. Anything she wanted. All she wanted was him. But she stared back into his face, drinking in the sight of the most important person in her world. She smiled softly, her words mostly a faint murmur. ".. Natsu ... you.. I... I can't think straight when you look at me like that.."

Natsu reached out with one hand and tucked some of Lucy's hair behind her ear. His eyes were filled with an adoring flame as he leaned in closer to whisper softly. "Then don't think. Just act~ It's how I learned to deal with this~"

She shivered slightly, because BOY was that tempting, and the look in his eyes was definitely not helping. As he leaned in closer, she reached up with both hands to frame his face between her palms, brushing her lips against his with a light, sweet kiss before she groans faintly. "...I'm not sure that -not- thinking is... is something I should.. do right now.." Heavens knew she just wanted more of the feel of his arms around her, more of his kisses, but with their current state... er.. well. They were still naked for heavens sakes~!

Oh those fleeting kisses were making it quite hard for him too. And then she had to make that noise too. "And why not? I'm just about ready to forget about thinking myself~" So what if they were naked. By now they had no secrets between each other. And Natsu loved that just as much as everything else about their shift in relationship.

It was difficult to stop after the one fleeting kiss - she has to close her eyes, exhaling faintly with the effort. One of them had to have some restraint, right? ... ... right? "Because.." she answered softly. Which clearly explained everything yes?

It was tempting to make her give in but Natsu didn't want to push his luck that much. So instead he decided to give one last long kiss in which he poured his remaining energy and love for the night before pulling away.

"Fine then. But you're not leaving my arms." He murmured cheekily.

She leaned into the kiss with a soft whimper, though when he pulled away, she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him back down for another kiss, "As if I would ever want to," she whispered with a mischievous grin. "And I'm not letting you go."

He was ready to call it quits there but then Lucy caught him by surprise again and pulled him close for another kiss. His eyes genuinely widened at that but even then it couldn't compare to the shudder he felt when she grinned at him like that.

"Now that's what I like to hear~" Natsu said and actually nipped at her jaw playfully.

It was that last kiss that did her in. She'd had every intention of sticking to her guns until then. She giggled at the look on his face, catching her breath slightly at the nip. "Mhph, as if there were any alternative with you," she teased, nuzzling against his jaw and giving it a little nip in return..

"Is that so? I'll keep you to that you know~" Natsu added with a teasing growl before tucking his face against Lucy's neck with a very satisfied smile. He wasn't tired at all but just having Lucy this close and the knowledge that she was undeniably his. It was just the best feeling in the world.

Lucy chuckled, "Oh will you now?" She'd have to agree with the assessment. Having him close and knowing he was hers, and she was his - nothing could top that feeling. Loving him so much it transcended anything else she could think of. She smiled warmly at the feel of his face against her neck, lifting a hand to pet his back idly.

"Natsu.. let's make a promise." Maybe promise wasn't the right word? But it worked for the purpose she had in mind. "I know it's a long, long way off," at least she hoped, "But let's promise to find each other again, in the next life. And the next, and the next and the next -" And so on and so forth. Well, she didn't even know if there -was- such a thing as reincarnation. But if there was, she wanted to spend it with him there too.

Natsu paused for a moment when she started talking about promises. He listened to what she had to say and actually had to move away so he could look at Lucy again. Something so simple and yet he never could get enough and he doubted he ever would.

"You can bet I'd do anything to find you again. No matter when or where." Natsu vowed with a soft murmur before pressing his lips to Lucy's forehead. Which in turn left his jaw and neck exposed to Lucy's own attack if she felt like it.

She knew she'd never get enough of seeing his face either. She had been looking serious until he responded, when she grinned broadly at the answer. Her arms hugged him in response to the kiss to her forehead, and she sighed happily, nuzzling against his throat, "Good. Because I don't want to be without you in any life." She murmured back, tilting her chin up to press a light kiss against his jaw, leaving a trail of soft kisses against the skin and trailing down his neck where she pressed those same fleeting kisses against the skin, nipping gently on occasion.

That nuzzling gets a surprised noise spilling from Natsu's lips but it slowly gives way to a more pleased one as he lowers his head against Lucy's ear this time. "As if that would be possible. Becoming mine is a full time position after all. And I do mean FULL time." As cheesy as it sounded he meant every single word of it.

She purrs faintly at the sound of his voice nearest her ear, and she chuckles. It was cheesy but the good kind of cheesy. "Mmm, I don't mind that at all. Especially when the perks are so nice." She teased. "Although I suppose I could put in some overtime." she added, nipping the sensitive part of his neck playfully.

Even if he hadn't understood her words, it was rather hard for Natsu to miss the meaning of Lucy's action and that nip at his throat was rewarded with a loud loud growl before his hand moved up to along Lucy's waist, grasping softly against her hip while he pressed the rest of his body up against LUcy's.
