Spending day after day in the cabin Natsu had built near the Guild, going on missions and living, being WITH Natsu was plain and simple, pure. Heaven. Lucy could genuinely not think of any time she was as happy as she was with him. It still amused her to think of the times she was too flustered to acknowledge her feelings for him, until things came to a head.

And then the kids came along during that mission - Nev and Justine, along with their 'mom' Regine. If Natsu becoming an integral part of Lucy's life was like completing her, then the kids and Regine were the added frosting on a perfected cake. Yeah that metaphor was all over the place. GRANTED it was a little difficult to get time alone with Nev and Justine almost demanding their attention a good amount of the time, but she didn't mind, and didn't think Natsu did either. They had their evenings together, and their little hiding spots to sneak away to, sometimes just for fun.

Meanwhile the first rays of light were beginning to filter in through the window-shades of their room, with Lucy snuggled up against Natsu's side, an arm wrapped around him with a faint smile on her lips. Not quite awake yet, but in that in-between point of just about to rouse. The birds had barely even begun to chirp when the distant BAM! of a door swinging open, followed by barely hushed giggling voices and scampering feet could be heard by Dragonslayer senses with ease, obviously heading towards said cabin.

She smiled at the sound of the purr and growl, nipping his neck and trailing a little set of kisses along his throat, "Then let's never leave the apartment." she countered, mostly joking. Never leaving the apartment sounded /amazing/ but wasn't rational, she knows that.

Although she should be careful about tempting him with that kind of option. He might take her up on it!

"Hahaha you say that but you know you couldn't go a day without seeing everyone now that we're back~" Natsu said shooting her down with a bright chuckle that had him shake Lucy on top of him a little bit.

Well that was very true, she would miss seeing her friends, and the kids. Though she couldn't help but smirk, purring in a low sultry voice, "So you're saying you wouldn't want me to take a day or two off and spend it ~just~with~you~?" And then just as quickly, her voice reverts back to normal. "Noted!" She leaned down to give him a quick peck on the lips, hiding a grin.

"H-H-Hey that's not what I meant!" Natsu quickly defended once his bluff was called so completely he c ould only buckle and try to stop her from actually doing just that!

"I was saying that for now you wouldn't want to go a day without seeing them at least once."

Oh that was too good. She broke into soft giggles, "Mmm, I don't know if I'm convinced of that reason..." She nuzzled against him, not bothering to raise her voice from the affectionate low murmur, when he could hear her with such ease no matter how quietly she spoke. "I suppose I'll have to find out for myself, spend some time with everyone tomorrow and then take a day or two. . .or three. . . to spend with you."

"Mngh~ You're really going to play with fire like that then? Alright then you're on." Because he was going to make it hard for her to want to go back once they got under way. In fact he could give her a very good taste of what was to come anyway. So he pulled her closer while he nibbled along her throat more firmly.

"Well I _DO_ have a fire dragon that is far too much fun to play with.." Goodness. Her smug grin melted into a surprised expression when he pulled her closer, and she uttered a low groan, "Nnghhh...ohh~" she breathed a low sigh against his ear.

"Well if that's how you want to do it~ i'll stop playing fair too~" Natsu could not help but start pushing his hips and the rest of him against Lucy, pushing to roll Lucy over so that he would get on top now.

"Huh?" Wait what - "When was I not playinnnn--" She had to bite her tongue against a sudden groan when he pressed himself against her like that, and then squeaked when he rolled her over. She readjusted her arms around him in the process, "I was always.. playing fair.." she said, a little flustered. "And I could argue you never play fair since you have an unfair advantage over me with everything you are." So there. So just by existing she was weak to him!

"Hmph nice try. I always only give you a taste of what you do to me. Nothing more than that~" Natsu grinned down at her moving hher arms around him to keep him close. At least the air in their little love cave made of blankets was certainly heating up now.

Lucy pouted a second, then grinned, tightening her arms around him as he repositioned them, "And that still leaves me speechless." Mmm, toasty. "Speaking of tastes.." She tugged him down closer to her, grinning slyly.

And closer he would go before cutting her off at her sneaking plan and sealing her lips with a hungry kiss that begged for so much more by the time he pulled away with a grin.

She utters a soft noise of surprise when he cuts off her sneaky plan with that hungry kiss - more intense than she had expected from the way her body hitches a little in surprise. She starts to pull him into her tighter as the kiss goes on, reluctant when he pulled away with that grin of his.

And it took a moment or two...or twenty..for her to recover from it, a dazed look on her face as she lets out a slow, shuddering breath, "a....and that was ..just a taste.." she murmured hazily.

She couldn't even take full credit for that - he had completely surprised her and overwhelmed her plan of sneakiness. But when the sense returns to her, she can only give him a heart-melting smile in response to his grin.

"Hmhmhm but a taste for who I wonder~" Natsu chuckled before taking her hand up and bringing her index finger up to his lips where he suckled and nipped the tip playfully.

"Me," Lucy answered after a moment, running her tongue over her lips thoughtfully, "Definitely me." And she approved of the taste as always. Though she grinned when he captured her finger, watching him rather intently while the blush increased in her cheeks, "... although this is all you." She murred softly, her other hand reaching up to run her fingers against his cheek, her finger twitching at the nip with a soft giggle.

Natsu smirked and started swirling his tongue around her finger pulling it in closer while his other hand pressed against her side while the look in his eyes turned smouldering yet again.

"Hmph is it really~"

Ohhhhhh, god. She swallowed back a lump in her throat, "Is what really..?" Totally losing the track of the conversation, watching him doing that and my is it hard to breathe in here or is it just her? Her free hand slid down along his neck and over his arm, "Or do you not know how that feels..?"

"Oh did you really forget what we were talking about?" Natsu asked with the biggest grin at having shattered any of her previous thoughts into dust.

"Hmmm what if I said I didn't. What would you do~?"

"That depends.. what were we talking about?" Yeah she .. totally forgot. He is a VERY distracting person, ok.

The question though gets a soft smirk on her lips, "Then I'd have to show you." She answered, taking hold of his free hand with her own free one, her thumb gently caressing the skin.

"Oh I guess it wasn't that important~" Oh he did so love blowing her mind to bits like that. The power to shatter her thoughts was so very potent after all.

" Show me hmm? How are you going to do that~?" He pressed, his hand taken hold of with relative ease while he finally released her finger from his lips.

"Or you're too effective at distracting me," she countered with a soft chuckle.

Still when he pressed her with wanting to know how she'd show him, she gave him a bit of a smile , "Like this." Fixing him with her gaze, she watched him the whole time as she brought his hand closer to her face, parted her lips and slowly traced his index finger with her tongue before she nipped his finger the same way he did hers, parted her lips and neatly took his finger in her mouth.

If that wasn't bad enough, she uttered a decidedly sensual moan as she did so. She might be trying to top his own method as she sucked on his finger - gasp gasp!

Oh she just had to one up him didn't she. But this was definitely her win as Natsu stared back at her frozen in place the moment that moan slipped past her lips and into his ears. This was quite the overload on her part and he slowly started leaning closer and closer.

SUCCESS. Oh the look on her face is nothing short of triumphant at the reaction he had. Still he's shorted her out more than she has shorted him out, she thinks. No surprise she stepped up her game a little.

She kept on making that soft moaning noise too, even when he started leaning in closer, as if luring him in further - though she did release his finger with another gentle nip and a purr, "See...?" Smug. As. Fuck.

"Grrrr. Did you not even think what might happen if you did that?" Natsu growled with a clear undertone wrapping around his words as he brought his face closer and closer. There was a clear flame burning in his eyes after that little stunt his beloved Partner pulled.

"You're the one who asked," Lucy answered with a faint smirk, watching him lean closer and closer, her pulse starting to race with the sound of his voice. "What else was I supposed to do?" That look in his eyes was as hypnotic as the effect she'd had on him earlier- she just couldn't look away.
