midnightstar | A SURPRISE LENALEE APPROACHES; Command?

Despite all of everything the Black Order has been through, it was business as usual for the various teams. Lenalee and Allen were in one team with Miranda and a few Finders. Lucky them, their mission took them to the mountains - beautiful scenery, but cold weather. Fortunately they managed to find a small inn with vacancies, so they could stay indoors. Amazingly, Miranda was actually sleeping more peacefully than Lenalee at the moment.

Although after all of the scenarios and seeing all of the deaths in the war with the Earl and fighting the akuma, (...not to mention what she personally has been through), it really should come as no surprise that Lenalee's sleep was less than restful. While she managed to snatch an hour or two here and there of sleep, worries about her friends, her brother, and one exorcist in particular all contributed to making her nightmare particularly bloody and gruesome. When she jerked awake for the second time that night (or was it third, she wasn't sure), she knew she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep right away, so she silently slipped out of her room, padding down the hall. Maybe a glass of water would settle her nerves.

"Um.... no... No I don't think it was." Lenalee had a bad feeling about that too. Heck, the last time Komui got that paranoid there were five golems guarding her room and five more patrolling the hallway _TO_ her room. Not counting the pitfalls and traps, until she scolded him for being silly.

"..." She'd love nothing more than to tell her brother and put his worries to ease. "Allen... do you think we should tell Komui about... us tomorrow?"

This was only going to escalate wasn't it. Just as he was about to do the typical Allen thing and propose they come clean, which would likely endanger him, Lenalee cut him to the punch almost as if reading his mind.

"...I think it can't be avoided. I don't think it's going to get any easier for either of us and he would pick up on it anyway... And...I don't think you deserve to just hide away what makes you happy."

By the end of the week they'd have a veritable army of golems! Still Allen agreeing with her got a small phew as she was relieved of her worries. Enough that she flashed a brilliant smile at him - point blank no less ..again - and pulled her hand free away to throw her arms around him tightly in a half-pounce glomp. "Thank you, Allen..!"

Komui might be a little hurt it took them so long to fess up, but knowing they were both troubled about hiding it from him might ease the pain. And the more important thing is that Lenalee and Allen both wanted to fess up to him to share their joy.

Well given it hadn't even been a week since they'd confessed their feelings it hadn't been that long. Allen would need to tap into his reserves of courage though but if it was for Lenalee he would do so without a single complaint.

The sudden embrace pushed Allen down on his bed forcing him to rest on his elbows as Lenalee hugged him close thanking him. She was so happy. So absolutely happy. He tucked his nose gently against Lenalee's neck and closed his eyes. "For you I would do anything." Allen murmured softly.

Very true. How quickly they got even closer since then. And oh hi Allen, said deleriously happy Lenalee is just gonna get comfortable, cuddling him close with that hug.

This feeling was something she'd never jeopardize for anything. Absently she reached up with a hand to gently stroke through his hair, nuzzling her cheek against his shoulder, "... I would do anything for you, too, Allen."

This was becoming dangerous for a whole new reason and yet Allen didn't want to pull away. However in his position the desire to wrap his arms back around Lenalee was also not an option. Not unless he was willing to fall on his back and let Lenalee straddle him....a far too inviting thought.

"Well in this case you might need to knock out your brother before he can skewer me." Allen said with a wry chuckle though he was mostly joking...probably.

Dangerous? You mean comfortable, right? Because Lenalee wasn't noticing any danger here -- well, she wasn't paying attention to their position either. Letting her cheek press against his chest so she could listen to his heartbeat, her lips curved into an amused smile at the feel of the chuckle.

"Alleeen.." She murred with an amused, chastising tone. Though she DID say she'd do anything for him. But she didn't think he was being serious (fully) at that suggestion. "I won't let him lay a hand on you." She huffed at him, tightening her arms on the Exorcist a bit possessively.

That tone actually got a laugh out of him. Genuine and lighthearted as ever. So much so that he decided to risk it and just lean on one elbow while putting his human hand against the back of Lenalee's head, pulling her to his chest a bit more.

"I know you won't. I never doubted that. I'll figure out a way to make it up to him afterwards though. Even if it takes the rest of my life." Allen whispered gently.

She laughed along with him, a soft chuckle to match. It was fascinating, hearing him talk and feeling it at the same time, and she felt herself blushing again when he pulled her closer to his chest.

Unconsciously she got a little more comfortable in response, shifting to tuck her legs up on the bed next to him, letting out a long, happy sigh. He was so warm she didn't feel like moving much, saving for a little nuzzle again. "He won't really hold a grudge.." Maybe. Probably. "Not when he sees how happy we are.."

A beautiful laugh to match her beautiful smile. Allen just could never get enough for seeing and hearing Lenalee's joy. And that in turn fed into his own joy. Funny how things just fit into place like a final puzzle piece. Since she did complete his life.

"Do you think he'd even think of demanding what we already decided that first morning?"

That suited Lenalee just fine, since she could never get enough of hearing and seeing HIS happiness. Lying next to him like this was far too comfortable though - she could stay there for hours, she was sure. "Hmm..." she considered, and finally shook her head, ".. not demand, no.." He doted on her too much to demand things.

"You really think he'd invite me with open arms after already stealing you in one way?" He wasn't really believing those words but merely spoke from Komui's slightly warped perspective. Either way if that became a condition to him accepting their relationship it would not even require any time to think. He'd accept. If at the end of this long and ancient war, his binding clause would be to go and live with Lenalee and KOmui until the day he died, he could not think of a greater reward.

Lenalee hesitated at that point. As much as she tried seeing the positive of her brother's ...quirks, he ..yeah, she couldn't see him just going, "Come in and stay forevah."

..actually she could, but not in the sense either of them meant.

Still, she chuckled a little, "W-well..." UH. "Open arms might be pushing it?" She admitted. Actually it was more likely he'd do so at drill point. And knowing Komui wanted his little sister to have some happiness... yeah, telling the guy she was in love with that he had to stay with them so she wouldn't be separated from him -- at drillpoint -- and possibly while being held up by multiple golems -- was more than likely something he'd do.

Her hesitation was also adorable in a way and Allen couldn't help but press his lips to Lenalee's ear after she gave her shaky answer. A ghost of a smile painted on his lips permanently at this point.

"Then he'll be in for a surprise when I say yes right away even with a smile on top~" Allen chuckled mischievously though he was still a little nervous. Still if they could rattle the man just right maybe he could go back to not having to look over his shoulder for a Komurin trying to drill him some new airholes.

Lenalee made a cute noise at the feel of his lips against her ear, muffling a giggle at him. "He will definitely be surprised. I'll bet he'll think he'll have to trick you into it." Trick' she says. But she means 'threaten with drills, syringes, and aggressive golems'.

Though as if she had been thinking along the same lines as him, she tilted her head a little in order to look at him better. "...though it will probably still take him some time to get used to the idea." Especially since the running gag of her dating someone was going to be less of a gag now.

A cute noise that made him want to pursue it specifically but managed to contain himself. It was too easy to just let go when with Lenalee. His other arm was starting to grow a little numb but it wasn't shaking even a little. It would deposit them both on top of the bed at a moment's notice though.

"I wouldn't expect him to change right away either. As long as I can meet with you whenever we're both free of our duties that's fine. I wouldn't dream of cutting into his time with you."

"Hehee, that won't be a problem. I'll make sure of that." She sneaked all the way to his room even now after all. "Once he understands that I don't love him any less, and I won't spend less time with him because we're together I'm sure he'll give you a break."

She's so proud of his restraint! Or..would be if she knew he was restraining himself by that much. Though since she was watching him she did suddenly realize that he was probably uncomfortable like that for so long.

"Ah! Sorry..!" Um.. oh! She reached over to tug his pillows closer so he could lean on them - or even ...uh... oh.. actually y'know seeing him lay back on his pillows might..be a bad idea...

Unfortunately that motion was exactly the feather neeeded to tip the scale to send Allen onto his back, landing on the pillow and making Lenalee sit atop of him as if he was her personal throne.

"..." oh yes this was very dangerous or as she put it a bad idea.

All she wanted was to let him get comfortable so he wouldn't have to prop himself up like that for so long!

Except now she was sitting on him with her hands resting on the mattress on either side of him, gazing down at him with wide violet eyes. Oh boy. The position and the way he was lying under her ... erm. Why did she feel like she was sitting on a mine? "Um..."

Well she couldn't sit there forever - she was going to have to move at some point!

Noble intentions and all that. Allen didn't know how this all happened but part of him really did not have a problem with the current state of things. If anything looking up at her from this position only made her even more radiant in his eyes. Perhaps his bias was a little stronger than it was safe to be.

"Well...um that was unexpected." Not unwelcome. Especially not with how his hand slowly ends up reaching for Lenalee's cheek.

Ohhh. Lenalee's face grew brighter pink, especially whens he felt his hand touching her cheek. "I..um.." Her hand skimmed up to press over his hand as she turned her cheek against his touch, closing her eyes with a faint smile, "I just..wanted you to be comfortable."

"Well...I have to say I am very comfortable right now. So much so I wouldn't mind if we stayed like this for the rest of the day and even beyond that." He said as he gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb, smiling blissfully up at Lenalee and adoring every moment of her smile.

That smile was one of his most potent weapons. Even more so than the Clown Crown. Still, wanting to stay like this...this was a really risky position! "Y-you.." Goodness, she didn't think she could get more flustered than she already was!

Allen didn't say anything else and instead just closed his eyes for a moment with a brief smile just immersing himself in the moment with Lenalee. "If this is what I can look forward to from now on then that's more than fine with me~"

Lenalee stared down at him a moment, moving her hand down to cup the side of his face, "Allen.." That was ..quite possibly the sweetest thing she's heard him say in ... actually okay, there was a lot that was said by him that made her heart go pitterpat like this. In fact it made her want to get even more close to him but...agh this was all a bad bad BAD...idea...
