He chanted, I love you, over and over and over with growing reverence each time as it seemed the last dam of his heart was finally worn away. He wanted to stay like this. Forever and ever. So desperately. This was the closest he would ever get to heaven without actually going over to Aidios' side.

Her kisses grew more desperate with each chant, the ache in her chest growing by the second the happier he made her. And she was happy, she'd swear it until the day she died, being able have moments with him like this. Yet at the same time that ache, that longing to stay with him, that reminder that he was being pulled away from her against both of their wishes was only raising its head like a menacing beast until she pulled back with a soft gasp and hid her face against his chest, hugging him tightly and trying to fight back a sudden maelstrom of emotion.

Rean allowed her to pull away from the kiss only to tuck himself around her more closely than before. Alisa had quickly claimed an immovable place in his heart and only now did he realize just how deeply that ran. He knew he loved her but with the growing ache and dread of separation the extent of that desire to be with her finally came to light.

Even the heartache that came when they all realized that graduation meant they would go their separate ways was nothing compared to the agony that accompanied her thoughts now. It felt like someone had shot her with her own arrow, over and over again. She trembled in his arms from the sheer effort of keeping her composure. "Rean..." She all but whimpered his name, barely holding back tears, her words barely above a whisper and just as unsteady. "... how am I supposed to let you go...?"

"I...wish I had an answer for you." But he didn't. He knew he'd be ripping a piece of his very heart when he would leave her again. The pain wasn't even what made him dread that inevitability. The longing. The desire for happiness by her side every day. TO get to see her precious smile, even her miffed pouting. Everything about Alisa was precious and he was loathe to part with even a minuscule part of it.

She held him just a little bit tighter at that response. She knows he couldn't answer her. She knows she's not being fair, putting that on him. She wasn't the only one hurting. He was hurting too - even more than her. She choked back a sniff, nuzzling into him, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't do this but..."

He just shakes his head and leans in close brushing the pad of his thumb against her soft precious cheek as he gazes into her red eyes with all of the love and adoration overflowing inside of him.

"Don't apologize." If anything he felt he should given it was his circumstances that made this suffering possible.

She didn't blame him though - it wasn't his fault his father was the douchiest douche that ever douched a douche. She let out a soft breath, trying to muster a smile for him, "I don't want our time together to be like this. I want it to be happy, like we were before." She murmured, reaching up to cover his hand with her own. God, she's drowning in in his love and she would drown over and over again just to see his face.

He flashed a warmer smile when he heard those words from Alisa. He could not agree more with that deire if he tried. So he nuzzled softly against her cheek letting her feeling that grateful smile from him while his hand gently gripped onto Alisa's.

"I would love nothing more than that~"

She closed her eyes with a soft sigh, nuzzling back against him, her hand squeezing his in return. "Then I'll make sure of it." She.. almost suggested they get more comfortable except then she'd be curling up on top of him not just in his -lap- and that.. well... it is -tempting-...

Well too bad because Rean was going to take them in that direction anyway as he allowed himself to end up on his back while pulling Alisa right there on top of him before she could even think to resist.

Ack! Was he reading her mind? "Ah--R-Rean...!" Well it certainly distracted her from feeling guilty over endangering the mood with her girly emotions and gross tears! "W..what are you doing...?" it..was comfortable though. But she's more than a little surprised by him tugging her down on him like that~!

"Something I've been wanting to for a while now." Yes laying with Alisa on top of him like this was certainly something he'd been dreaming of. ANd this time it wasn't an accident nor was his face in her chest. Just cuddling like this.

She gave him a look for a second, almost suspicious .. but honestly, she'd be lying if she said she hadn't thought about a position like this. She leaned down against him, pillowing her head on his shoulder with a soft sigh, "...this ...Is kind of nice..." she admitted, a bit embarrassed. "... for a while, huh...?"

He overlooked that look and just helped Alisa nuzzle up closer still as they just relaxed like that, one body providing warmth and care for the other and vice versa. A feeling Rean felt he could enjoy every single day if it was possible.

"Mmm y-yeah is that weird?"

She shifted until she was snuggled against him, tilting her head to listen to his heartbeat for a moment, then glanced up at him again. "Um.. I ... don't think so..." She definitely didn't want to move now though. "Maybe if it were someone else, .. but not with you. It feels... natural with you."

that sheepish look was so adorable he had to refrain from squeezing her even tighter to his chest with how dear she looked.

"I was thinking the same thing. This...feels like it's how it should be all along."

"It should be.." Alisa murmured in quiet agreement. His agreement pushed aside the lingering gloom that had been lurking in her smile, and she grinned at him, still sheepish with a soft chuckle, "... It's... just a shame we didn't think of something like this sooner." She ventured a little shyly. Of course if he had suggested it earlier in his visit she would have been too nervous to take him up on it, whereas now she just wanted to stay as close to him as she could while she could.

"Well we can make up for lost time from now on." Maybe the next time he manages to secure some time together with Alisa. But for this moment in time specifically he wanted nothing more than to enjoy these precious fragments of time where he was allowed to just be Rean. Alisa's Rean.

Alisa nodded with a smile, "... we'll have a lot of making up to do together." She agreed - she had no idea how long it would be before she could see him again, and the ARCUS connection wasn't the same, by a long shot. But it was better than nothing. "So you should think of all the things you want to do the next time we see each other." Not just the next time 'he' visits, because she was planning to surprise him with a visit in Trista sometime.

"that might be a bit...risky." Because the longer he'd be away from her the stronger his yearning would get and then his thoughts would start to stray into territory that would get him teased and encouraged relentlessly by both Sharon and Alisa's grandfather.

Technically if they were to cuddle after they've been kept apart for a long time, that would be risky also. But Alisa wasn't thinking about ..THAT kind of risk. She was actually pondering the possibility of sneaking away to meet in other cities when they had time off, not just Roer. "Huh?" she lifted her head from his chest to give him a puzzled, suspicious look. "Why would it be risky?"

"Uh well that's umm....no never mind. I'm just being silly." Hopefully she would let him get away like that because he just realized how he might have said way too much for his own skin.

... he would never let her get away with that, she was certainly not going to let him get away with it either! Which is why she narrows her eyes even more suspiciously, "...Reeeeeean."

Rean closed his eye with a suffering sigh as Alisa decided to cash in on his own stubborn ways.

"Well I...might start wanting...more when we get back together." Was she really going to make him spell it out. COULD SHE HANDLE THAT KIND OF SECOND HAND EMBARASSMENT FROM HIS LIPS?!
