Spending day after day in the cabin Natsu had built near the Guild, going on missions and living, being WITH Natsu was plain and simple, pure. Heaven. Lucy could genuinely not think of any time she was as happy as she was with him. It still amused her to think of the times she was too flustered to acknowledge her feelings for him, until things came to a head.

And then the kids came along during that mission - Nev and Justine, along with their 'mom' Regine. If Natsu becoming an integral part of Lucy's life was like completing her, then the kids and Regine were the added frosting on a perfected cake. Yeah that metaphor was all over the place. GRANTED it was a little difficult to get time alone with Nev and Justine almost demanding their attention a good amount of the time, but she didn't mind, and didn't think Natsu did either. They had their evenings together, and their little hiding spots to sneak away to, sometimes just for fun.

Meanwhile the first rays of light were beginning to filter in through the window-shades of their room, with Lucy snuggled up against Natsu's side, an arm wrapped around him with a faint smile on her lips. Not quite awake yet, but in that in-between point of just about to rouse. The birds had barely even begun to chirp when the distant BAM! of a door swinging open, followed by barely hushed giggling voices and scampering feet could be heard by Dragonslayer senses with ease, obviously heading towards said cabin.

"Say the weirdo~" natsu said coling his arm around her back just as she wordlessly invited him to do. Then he pulled up close and murmured softly into her ear as he pressed into her amidst the fort of fluff.

"oh? Just you and me and the stars you haven't seen in so long? I wouldn't mind that. We'll have to find a good place for it~" Meaning they would have to spend time exploring around for a bit.

She brushes her lips against his cheek when he pulls in close, a blissful little sigh slipping out as she gets comfortable in his arms. Idly running her hand along his back, like petting a lazy cat, chuckling at him calling her a weirdo in turn.

"Exactly. I have to greet them all like old friends, even though I apparently never left here - WE never left." She curls up a little bit into him with a soft humm. "Which honestly makes me feel better than thinking we just vanished from here without a trace for over a year."

He allows her to pull him in close, his smile pressing against her cheek before he pulled back a little to enjoy the sight of LUcy beaming up at him like this.

"Then we can figure that out later. I'll be with you no matter what after all~"

Her smile only grew more dorky and obliviously blissful the more she regarded him, as if just the sight of him made her more and more happy by the second. "We'll have to figure out where to put up Regine and the kids too. Fairy Hills is a bit pricey for them right now."

"Hmmmm. How about my old place? Happy and I can stay with you for a while~ After all you got used to having me around all the time since we were like that back in that other world~" Natsu suggested after a moment of pondering on the matter.

"That could work!" Which would fit the 'while' part. At least long enough for them to look for a larger place. "He'd just better stay out of my things, and watch what he claws around me." If he claws her furniture she's booting him out the window!

.. Only not. She missed the little furball. At least the teasing won't last long.

"Hahah well maybe he will~" Not that he really believed she'd kick him out when she likely missesd him just as much as Natsu did. That and the fact that Happy was spending more and more time with Charle that meant privacy wouldn't be that much of a problem either.

No she wouldn't do that. SHe'd give the little blue Exceed the biggest hug until he begged for mercy, OF WHICH SHE WOULD GIVE NONE, MWAHAHAHA.

But she tilted her head a little and leaned up to sneak a little kiss to his nose. "Come on, we shouldn't stay out here much longer." Mainly because it twas too tempting to do exactly that.

"Mmmm do we really have to?" Natus mock growled but wasn't really keeping her down if she gave him a bit of a shove. But would she? Now that was the question.

Oh she really doesn't want to. She wanted nothing more than to snuggle and curl up against him like this, "Mmmh, are you really going to put that on meeeee..."

"Well we do share this throne of ours~" Natsu all but purred as he leaned closer with a cheeky shameless grin.

She chuckled softly, "You always say that when it's something I don't want to do, but have to." Like let him go and nudge him away so she could get up. He was DEFINITELY a bad influence on her. Or a good one, "If I left it up to you we wouldn't move ever." She teased.

He did move away but he smirked back at her before he nipped the back of her neck for a split second before pulling away completely.

"You can't say that would be so bad though can you~?"

She let out a squeak, swatting at him in response, "No," she admitted, "It's probably too tempting, but at the same time," she reached over with a light fluff of her fingers through his hair. "We'll have plenty of time to do that later, you know." She moved her hand over with a grin, to tap his nose gently, "You just have to behave yourself till then."

He grinned shamelessly before he nipped at that finger she used to tap his nose.

"Well I'll do my best~" Not a total promise though. So hopefully Lucy did not lower her guard TOO much~

ACK! She swatted at him again, giggling, "Cut that out~!" She giggled, "You're such a trouble maker." Though he's HER troublemaker. "You're just adding to your punishment, you know that don't you?"

"Ohhh noooo what am I gonna do with that much 'punishment' " Natsu rolled his eyes cheekily before leaning after her with a grin.

"I might not be able to take it for that long~" A flat out lie and they both knew it

She giggled, "I feel like you aren't takeing your impending punishment as seriously as you should." she smirked back, shifting to sit up, "I think you should be more nervous~! YOu don't have any idea what I'm going to do, after all." Grinning as he leaned after her, she leaned over as well, chuckling.

"Am I though? I'm just working with what 'punishments' I can remember~" Natsu answered with a delighted purr as he leaned forward after her, slowly escorting his beloved celestial mage back inside the guild.

She tilted her head enough to lean it against his, grinning, "I could take you by surprise, though, you never know~!" She purred, wrapped so much in him she barely even noticed when they walked back into the guild. At least until she heard the children's voices lifting in 'ewwwwww' and giggled responses.

Blushing fiercely, she abruptly pulled away from Natsu and cleared her throat. You saw nothing.

Natsu still coiled one arm around Lucy's waist keeping her close but not doing anything other than that. He did turn his face to the kids sticking his tongue out at them like a child himself while he walked Lucy over to the table again.

The children giggled at Natsu's response before scampering off again. "Everyone still keeps staring at us," she murmured with a chuckle, settling next to him at the table. "IF my being with you is this much of a shock to them, imagine when the others show up." She giggled faintly. Oh lord, her luck would be they'd walk in while she was all snuggled against her beloved dragon slayer, and then she'd just be even more embarrassment.

Natsu claimed his seat of honor naturally by Lucy's side leaning in to her ear and whispering hotly.

"Nah but imagine if they knew how far we've gone by now. That would definitely leave them without being able to say a single word I bet. Especially with how thick they think I am about those things~"

She felt like her blush was never going to fade, the way he closed in with her like usual. She grinned a little, slipping her arm around him and settled against his side.

"I..IF they figured that out I don't think i'd ever stop blushing." She chuckled, ".. you -were- pretty thick though. They probably think we haven't done more than hold hands." Thinking about how much further than that they have gone in the past year and a half though.. welp.

"Well that just works in our favor then. Since they think I'm still that way~" Natsu answered with a sly purr as he nuzzled against her shoulder happily, just taking in her intoxicating scent as a dragon slayer.
