Spending day after day in the cabin Natsu had built near the Guild, going on missions and living, being WITH Natsu was plain and simple, pure. Heaven. Lucy could genuinely not think of any time she was as happy as she was with him. It still amused her to think of the times she was too flustered to acknowledge her feelings for him, until things came to a head.
And then the kids came along during that mission - Nev and Justine, along with their 'mom' Regine. If Natsu becoming an integral part of Lucy's life was like completing her, then the kids and Regine were the added frosting on a perfected cake. Yeah that metaphor was all over the place. GRANTED it was a little difficult to get time alone with Nev and Justine almost demanding their attention a good amount of the time, but she didn't mind, and didn't think Natsu did either. They had their evenings together, and their little hiding spots to sneak away to, sometimes just for fun.
Meanwhile the first rays of light were beginning to filter in through the window-shades of their room, with Lucy snuggled up against Natsu's side, an arm wrapped around him with a faint smile on her lips. Not quite awake yet, but in that in-between point of just about to rouse. The birds had barely even begun to chirp when the distant BAM! of a door swinging open, followed by barely hushed giggling voices and scampering feet could be heard by Dragonslayer senses with ease, obviously heading towards said cabin.

Meanwhile Justine and Lucy had just managed to squish the Castle of Fluff into a proper fortress ...ish... type shape - it actually looks more like mushed cotton candy. But from atop the fluff - very carefully- Justine was bouncing excitedly, while Lucy was trying her level best not to fall over while the girl was bouncing. "HA! You can't get past our impenetrable fortress!" Justine crowed mid-bounce. Whee, this is fun!

"You wanna bet on that princess~?"

Justine nodded firmly, gleefully taking two handfuls of the bombs and lobbing them down at Natsu. Have at you, fiend! At the same time her little brother was having a b it of trouble taking down Asuka, who was bombarding him with popgun bullets, the two children giggling more than anything.

"Higher~!" Lucy scrambles up higher on the fortress of fluff, nabbing more balls of wool as the two start merging them together and rolling boulder sized balls of wool at Evil Dragon.
Nev's battle with Asuka starts to lean in Nev's favor when he gets the smaller balls of wool one of which gets stuck on Asuka's gun like cotton candy and she whines a bit, "No fair!~" A small disadvantage - but she sees Lucy and Justine in danger! GASP~!

There's an *ACK* from Neveren when Asuka tackles him out of nowhere, giggling gleefully, "Caught you!"
"Did not!" "Did too! Did toooo!"
Lucy peers over Fluff Fortress at the approaching dragon, and then over at Nev and Asuka (stifling a giggle) before glancing at Justine, "My dear, there may be only one way to escape our plight and keep the vicious dragons from capturing us - we may have to jump to our doom." Fortunately there was enough fluffy woool behind the fortress that the girls would be able to jump without harm, but still, in pretendy times, it clearly meant danger!

Justine CLUNG to her waist and shrieked again, "What are we gonna do! Asuka help!" She glanced over to where both children were quickly practically climbing over each other in an attempt to get up on the Fluff Fortress first, and choked back a giggle.
Lucy kerPOINTED with a finger, "We'll never be yours, fiend!" She glanced to Justine, "We have only one choice now - we push him off!" And onto the nice soft wool below. And while laughing, both girls step forward to try and shove Natsu off their protected fortress. NEVER SAY DIIIIIIIIIIE.

Neither girl has a c hance to break into giggles th ough, but there's a "NOOOOOOOOO!" From Asuka above them, before Justine glances up and quickly squirms to get free - mainly because Asuka was leaping off the Fortress as well. "HEEEK!" That was a genuine shriek from Lucy, followed by another when Nev, not even bothering with 'acting' anymore, immediately leaps after Asuka. BANZAI~! It's raining children!

Still once she starts actually having trouble breathing, Natsu finally relents and pulls the kids down on his side instead with a loud and proud laughter.

"Good job. We had her fooled all along~ Now the queen is ours~"

"Dragons are cooler than princesses." Nev volunteers. Lucy sputters into giggles.
"Of course You'd think so. Boys can't be princesses!" Justine huffed good naturedly. "... dragons ARE cool though."

Asuka glanced at the two, then over at the kids, both who rolled their eyes with silent, 'Adults Flirting and being GROSS again' looks.
Asuka hopped off of the fluffy wool, "Come on, let's play something else~!" giving the adults a bit of a reprieve.
